Just loving all the inspiration over on the Hero Arts blog this week from Jennifer McGuire, especially the idea of printing your own personalized greetings for your cards. I had downloaded the Wisdom Script font that I used on this card from the Lost Type Co-Op when I read Lisa's post a couple of weeks ago. I had a few other fonts from this site already, but never got this one. I don't know how I've lived without it, I can't stop using it!

Thought I would use this week's stamp of the week (Fox) from Hero Arts, but give it a little bit of a girly spin. I think she looks great with the paper from the Out of Print 6 x 6 pad, don't you?

is it too early for christmas sweaters?

First Christmas card of the season! I could not wait to get my hands on these Christmas Reindeer. Aren't they just adorable with their little sweaters? I usually make one main design for my Christmas cards, but there are certain people who get a card that is made just for them. Certain people who wear Christmas sweaters that is...

This card is definitely going to my mom. Several years ago on Christmas morning we broke into her closet and attempted to rid it of the dreaded Christmas sweater. I think it worked...I have never seen her wear another one after this photo was taken!

tuesday trigger: gutsy & girly

Time to play along with this week's Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World.  This one is a two week challenge, so you have plenty of time to play along!

This inspiration picture just screams MORE IS MORE to me! The first thing I noticed was the rug, and I immediately wished I had a background stamp just like it. I tried my best with what I had and then decided to add it that lovely yellow/green color with an over the top accent, some metal, a splash of pink and a little bling of course. I know someone who will just love this card. Someone FABULOUS!

tuesday trigger: luminous layers

I absolutely LOVE the colors for this week's inspiration over on Moxie Fab World! Here is this week's trigger target, Luminous Layers: 

I just love the bright, colors and the pretty layers on this shirt. For my card, I was inspired to create these layers with circles. I loved the flowy fabric element, and added a flower for an extra punch of color.

i'm a cover girl!

If you haven't seen the pictures on facebook, I thought I would share some happy news. After a little coaxing from V at The Ink Pad, I decided to submit a card to Paper Crafts magazine. I had plans of many card submissions to make from the sketches for the  Card Ideas for Paper Crafters issue from Paper Crafts, but they never got made. The night before, I made one simple design with one of my favorite products, washi tape. Not only did it get picked, but it's on the COVER! It's the Rainbow Hello card on the top.

    

If you have not seen this magazine, it is a great one to add to your collection. There are so many great sketches. I have my issue from last year, and I have used it as a resource for inspiration all year long!
