I was not completely sure what I was going to do with this set when I got it. I thought it would be great for a week in the life mini album or similar project, but decided to find a way to use it on a card. I think it's a pretty fun way to say I love you:

My inspiration? The leaves, the colors and that fun cross-hatching texture. I used a stamp and die set from Hero Arts to make cutting out my sunflowers super simple:

This week's Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World? Simple Elegance. My card is inspired by the rug and the gorgeous pink of the tulips. Why is it that the simpler triggers are harder for me? I think I played it safe on this one, but I still love this spring flower:

Really simple one layer card for this Saturday. Feather stamps, sentiment, watercolor. I had a little "incindent" and got some watercolor on my finished card and decided to add an allover splatter. I am not usually a splatter kind of gal, but I liked the way it looked and decided while I had the paints out to make a little set of these cards instead of starting over. Also entering this in the Moxie Fab World Fascination with Feathers Challenge.

Just a quick spring card using some stamps from the Hero Arts/Basic Grey Plumeria collection. I just love this Tartan background stamp and was looking for a fun way to pair it with the Garden Frames. By stamping the frame and masking it, then stamping the plaid over top I was able to add a layered look without too much bulk. Just a few Prima flowers and pearls to give it a little pop of color. Fast and easy!

I have played around with these stamps and I just love all the possibilities! If you have not subscribed yet or are on the fence about a subscription, I would definitely recommend it. I love getting a package in the mail each month of goodies where everything goes together perfectly and the papers are scaled to size for card makers. I would get it just for this cool stamp set alone! There are so many possibilities.

Be Inspired Technique Canvas 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Create your own “inspiration board” full of techniques and handmade embellishments that you are sure to turn to again and again for inspiration on cards and other crafty projects. This class is based on techniques that Cheiron learned hands-on in Jennifer McGuire’s Inspiration Showcase class. Now she will share them with you in a workshop setting. You will go home with your own 11 x 14 canvas that can be displayed in your crafty space. Required supplies: students must bring a non-stick craft sheet, scissor, adhesive, glossy accents, heat tool, foam tape or dots.

Springtime Cards 7-9 pm
Join Cheiron to make a collection of greeting cards inspired by the colors of spring. You will create cards with fresh colors and fun embellishments while learning some of Cheiron's favorite techniques. You will go home with six cards for a variety of occasions. You must bring required class supplies. All other materials to make the cards will be provided in your class kit. Required class supplies: Detail scissors, adhesive runner, foam tape (or dots) and anything else you can't create without!

What a yummy Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World this week! What really stood out to me is the apricots and I wanted to replicate that in some way. I cut a butterfly out of felt and sprayed it with some Mr. Huey's and this is what I got. I incorporated some of the blue color and the "type" font that was on the picture by using a sentiment with a similar font.
Here is a closer view of that felt butterfly. UPDATED: The blue die cut is the Woven Circle die from Memory Box. You can buy it here-for this card I adhered a grey punched out circle to the back and a white one to the front of the die to make this embellishment.
