organize and store: new ink pads & a hero hues color chart

I don't know about you, but I have been drooling over the new Hero Hues Inks since I saw them. I have the rest of the collection, so why not complete it with the new ones. In order to do that, I (of course)needed a new color chart to keep them organized, and I thought that I would share the one that I made with you today. 

I printed mine on 2 pages of cardstock. I am sure it could have somehow fit really tiny onto one sheet, but I like my swatches bigger. I slide them into page protectors and keep them handy for reference.

Another card to play along with one of this month's sketches over at Hero Arts. I love this sentiment for a birthday card and I loved making this fun 3-D cupcake embellishment with a little cutting, glitter and an art flower with a little pearl. 

It is hard to tell in the photo, but in real life the frosting is full of glittery goodness! 

I have been doing a major purge of the crafty space (and may have some stamps up for sale soon) but in the meantime, I have come across this extra Mi Casa stamp set. If you would like a chance to win it just leave me a comment and I will announce a winner on Monday.

Just a simple and fun little card to play along with this month's contest over at Hero Arts. For this challenge, I used one of the sketches featured in the contest details. 

I love this fun Carbonated Background and thought it would be fun to color the dots in different colors. To make this card, I embossed the background on watercolor paper, colored in the dots with different color Distress markers and then gave the panel a spritz with a mister to blend the colors.

It would be easy to make a few of these panels at once and have them on hand...the dots could be colored in a variety of different combinations for almost any occasion you want to celebrate!

simon says stamp challenge: back to school

Time for this week's challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! This week it is all about Back to School. If you have little ones, they may already be back-or getting ready. I made this card for one of my favorite munchkins who had a little trouble getting on the bus last year...hope this card and a few treats will be just the inspiration she needs!

This week the Design Team is using Sizzix products (and we would love you to use them if you have them!). For my card I used the Circle Flip-Its Card die. This die is so easy to use-it cuts the card right out for you!  I hope you are able to make a back to school card to play along with our Back to School Challenge this week. Remember, one lucky entrant will win a $50 shopping voucher to Simon Says Stamp (now that's a lot of school supplies!).

this Children's Summer Holidays/Back to School challenge is specifically for children between the ages of 2 and 16 years of age so now is the time to let your Children, Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews loose in your craft rooms !! :-)

In celebration of crafting with our kids, we have developed this "Junior Stamper" kittargeted for ages 4 through 14. tuesday trigger: type hype!

Finally...time to play with a Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World. It's definitely been a while, and I am glad to be back! I love this typewriter-wouldn't be nice to have one of these?

These keys are so fun! I might even be happy if I had to type all day on this beauty. When I saw this, I immediately knew I would have to incorporate this new Best of the Best stamp set into my card somehow. Those keys reminded me of the letter stamps included in this set :

These alphabet stamps are the perfect match for the typewriter keys...now to work them into my card: 

shark week has begun!

One thing I love about being able to make my own cards is that you can make a card for almost ANY occasion. Today, I am celebrating the kick off of the 25th Shark Week on the Discovery Channel along with my science (and shark) loving friend Jill Grace. She LOVES shark week! She gave us a great challenge which was to use washi tape, this adorable shark image and the Jawsome phrase. These sharks look ready to party, don't you think?
