simon says stamp challenge: anything goes

Time for a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. This week the design team is using stamps from two great stamp companies, Mama Elephant and Avery Elle and the theme is ANYTHING GOES. I used a sentiment from one of my favorite Mama Elephant sets, Smitten. I just love all the great fonts in this set! 

Remember, just by playing along and linking up your project to the SSS Challenge post you can qualify to enter a $50 shopping voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store. One lucky winner will be chosen at random, it could be you!

tattered floral challenge

Playing along with the Tattered Floral Challenge over at the Tim Holtz blog. The challenge? Make a project using the Tattered Florals DIe: 

I wanted to try some of the techniques from the challenge post and add a few different textures to my flowers. I gathered up some different supplies and came up with burlap, corrugated coardbard paper, grungepaper (colored with Distress paints) and a bit of pink tulle. I thought these flowers would look great on a spring themed canvas. I practiced a few background techniques that I have been learning on this 6 X 12 canvas and added the flowers, grass and sentiment.

I have been working on this for a little bit each night this week. I am glad that it finally came together, even if it is the LAST day of the challenge. I can't wait until it is actually warm enough to see some spring flowers here!

I love the dies from Memory Box and decided to turn this Large Circle Burst die into some much needed glittery sunshine. I say bring on Spring!

mama elephant stamp highlight: today was

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is sharing the last highlight of the March release, Today Was. This set would be perfect for any project life or scrapbooker! I love the "SMILING'S MY FAVORITE" sentiment. 

I thought it would be fun with a polaroid. I made the smily face with the eyes and smile from the Cup of Wishes set. Isn't he fun?

mama elephant stamp highlight: hello

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is sharing the another highlight of the March release, Hello. This has got to be my favorite set of this release. I think these bubbles look great on their own, but I also can't wait to combine them with so many other stamps.

simon says stamp challenge: choose a sketch
