It's almost the last day of the month so you know I've been working on my Tim Holtz May tag. I loved the whole process of making the tag this month, especially the remnant rubs resist. I really liked the background before my tag was even complete: 

And it was great how it all came together. This one had a lot of really great techniques that I will incorporate into my cardmaking soon. I love the colors on the finished tag too. 

simon says stamp challenge: anything goes!

Time for a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. This week's challenge theme is Anything Goes and the design team is using products from Bottle Cap and/or Authentique. I finally got a chance to pull out some of my Hero Arts Stamp Your Story Stamps and play the other day and I thought the "creative artist" stamp would fit perfectly in a Bottle Cap...the card just evolved from there.

simon says stamp challenge: take a picture

Time for a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. This week's challenge theme is Take A Picture and the design team is using all kinds of fun camera & photo related products. I love camera stamps and one of my new favorites is this Tim Holtz camera stamp from the Travel Blueprints set. I have also been wanting to create something with the Tim Holtz worn covers, so I put together this mini photo album. 

Time to pull out those picture related items in your stash and make a creation of your own!

mama elephant stamp highlight: filigree

Back for the final day of stamp highlights from the May release. I know this is one that a lot of folks have been waiting for. For me, it has the perfect doily:  

 

For this doily card, I embossed the doily and center in white, popped out the center and added a few pearls. The little red heart makes this one of my favorite color combinations of kraft, red and white.

For this card, I embossed the cake and the plate and paper pieced the teeny tiny banner.  I think this card would work for almost any celebration!

a blog named hero challenge # 24: clean up your act

Time for a new Challenge over at A Blog Named Hero.  Not sure how CAS my card is today, but it is SIMPLE for sure. I love these new stamps from the Stamp Your Story release and this Painted Canvas stamp is sure to become a new favorite.  A little inking with a few of my favorite Distress Inks, a spray with a mister and voila...easy as that. The letters are from another great new set...Letters. I can think of so many fun ways I am going to use these letters!
