Well...it's the last day to make my tag, and I loved it. Tim's tag this month was so fun to make and I think I am quite addicted to the splatter brush. The good part about being so late? It will be time to make the February tag soon. Can't wait to see it!

Time for a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is Anything Goes with twine or string and the design team is using stamps from Mama Elephant. I just love the Good Times set and paired it with a fun, inky, grungy "rockstar" background this week made with crackled embossing paste and stencils:

Day 4 of Stenciled and it's got to be my favorite day yet! So inspired in the classroom today by Shari Carroll and her gelli printing that I decided to break out my gelli plate and make some fun prints of my own. I turned this one into a fun card using another technique shown in Day 1 of adding string and vellum behind your sentiment :
I had so much fun playing with paints and the gelli plate and I got a lot of fun pulls that I can use on plenty of other cards and projects. I just love the colors and how these stencils look together.

Still catching up on stenciled, and trying Kristina's technique from Day 2. I have colored through my stencils before with markers, but the pencils give such a fun look!

I know 3 days have already gone by in the stenciled class, but you know I love my stencils so I had to take them out and play today. I started with Day 1 and used the techniques and layout of the card shown by Debby Hughes for my "homework". I loved the soft and pretty look of her card and thought it would make a great Valentine. Instead of embossing on my vellum, I used this Kelly Purkey Follow Your Heart die from Simon Says Stamp.

This week we are making cards using embossing (you can use, heat, dry or embossing paste) and the design team is using embossing folders. We'd love to see you use them too if you have some! Finally breaking into my stash and playing with some of my new Hero Arts stamps. When I saw this World for Taking stamp, I knew I wanted to somehow make it into a globe. After playing around with a few different ideas and trying to make the words clear, I finally used some Distress Markers and a VERY light mist to get just the look I wanted. I think it fits perfectly with the Map of America background.
