Today I'm sharing a project I made for the CC3 Challenge. This challenge follows along with the techniques in Tim Holtz's latest book, Compendium of Curiousities III, and this week's Altered Burlap Panel can be found on p.37. This is the first challenge that I am playing along with, and I had so much fun making this panel!
You can see all the details about the challenge on Linda Ledbetter's blog here. This challenge is being sponsored by The Funkie Junkie and they will be giving one lucky player a $25 shopping spree.
I was inspired by Tim's July tag and I wanted to make a canvas with his new dies and try out the "sand" technique of course! To make the background, I used marbled distress paints and used the Bubbles texture fade to "stamp" on some bubbles.
Here's a close up of the fun letters:
and the fabulous sand technique that I will certainly be using again:
SUPPLIES:
Your altered canvas is gorgeous and it has a very calming effect! The vibrant blue background makes all of the contrasting elements pop!

Cherion...your altered burlap canvas is pretty! I love the bright agua colors of the background. Perfect for a sea theme! Your sand dollars and star fish along with the greenery makes a very pretty embellishment! Thanks for joining us at CC3C. <3 Candy
