Hero Arts Handmade for Christmas Blog Hop

art journaling with dina wakley at the ink pad

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of taking four classes with the amazingly talented Dina Wakely. I spent all day Saturday and Sunday making art in my journal and learning LOTS and LOTS of new techniques while playing with Dina's line of Ranger paints, stamps and stencils. It was a wonderful group of students and I learned a lot from everyone there. 

 

If you ever see classes being offered by Dina in your area, definitely sign up. Even though I have taken classes with Dina every year since 2011, I always learn something new. I love Dina's teaching style. She teaches you techniques and lets you get right into practicing them while offering help and coaching along the way.  

I have learned SO many fabulous new techniques over the past weekend, I can't wait to put them into practice in my daily art journaling . Here are some of the fun pages and papers I made in class with the techniques Dina taught us:

Fabulous Fall Technique Cards 
Join Cheiron to make cards in the colors of fall using lots of Tim Holtz stamps, dies and Distress Ink products. In this class you will learn a variety of techniques while creating gorgeous fall colored backgrounds and elements to embellish your card. Once the techniques have been mastered, we will assemble all we have learned together into card creations.

Finally, a Tim tag of 2014 before the end of the month! This month, it was time to pull out all the alcohol inks and play. I pretty much followed Tim's tag...except I gave my gal a crown of fall leaves and a bit of makeup.
