hero arts: mod christmas crystals

Today I have a card featuring the Christmas Crystals stamps from Hero Arts. I thought it would be fun to give them a bit of a mod look with earthtone colors on kraft. The Peace & Joy sentiment is perfect to make this holiday card appropriate for anyone during the holiday season, even if they are not celebrating Christmas.  

I just love how the colored pencil looks on the kraft, and the bit of shine that I got from the Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing powder:

 

This card would be perfect to enter into the "Mad About Metallics" category in the latest challenge over on the Hero Arts Blog. Read below for all the details.

There are three different categories for entry, plus an all-encompassing “anything goes” category:

• Mad About Metallics - Brighten up your holiday creations with touches of gold, silver, copper, or bronze. Embossing, gems, sequins and glitter are just a few of the ways you can incorporate this hot trend.
