simon says stamp wednesday challenge: bling it on!

Time for a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is Bling It On and the design team is using products from KaiserCrafts. I added the tiniest bit of bling to my project, but I think that's all it needed:

hero arts: deck the halls blog hop!

Hi there and welcome to the Hero Arts Deck the Halls Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the blog of the super talented Mariana Grigsby.

Today we are featuring hadmade ornaments, and the one I have for you today would be a fun one to make with kids. I picked up a bunch of these cardboard shapes from the craft store and gessoed them white. I then used the Texture and Shape set and some daubers to stamp patterns on my ornament, finishing it up with a sentiement.

Don't forget to stamp the date on the back!

simon says stamp wednesday challenge: christmas/holidays

Time for a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is Christmas/Holidays and the design team is using products from Stampendous. I used the Grunge set designed by Nathalie Kalbach (did you know all of these stamp sets also come with a stencil) along with some Distress paint to create this artsy Chrismas card. 

This is what the stamps look like in the set: 

 

I used the stamp on the bottom, painted on it with Festive Berries and Pine Needles Distress Paints. When the paint was dry, I traced over the circle shapes with a Versamark marker and then embossed them in gold. Then a simple sentiment embossed on a painted strip to finish it off.
