I finally had a few minutes to put my June Tim Holtz Tag of 2015 together...I love working with these custom ink pads and already made three of them. I made the one for this tag using Picked Raspberry, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio and I can already tell there will be a lot more projects using this pad!

Today it's all about summer over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. I could not think of anything more appropriate for summer than being at the shore and having fun. I love these two from Tim Holtz's Found Relatives having a great time at the beach, and thought they would look great bathed in some warm golden tones of foil paper. I embossed the foil paper with the Tim Holtz Rays stencil to give them even more sun, added a post card and some big chat stickers:

This week it's all about using your stamps and mists together over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Pull out any of your favorite stamps and some of those mists that have been sitting in your stash for way too long and play along with us. I pulled out some of my favorite Dina Wakely stamps, stencils (to stamp with) and Dylusions sprays to make this colorful journal page:
Lots of stamps and mists going on on this page. I stamped my cling stamps with my mists that had been sprayed onto my craft sheet. I put my stencils in the mist and "stamped" them onto the page. I added a few more sprayed layers of mist and just let them drip down the page.
I made the tag with some contrasting colors of mist...so easy, and makes a great focal point.

This week it is all about the paste over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. From texture paste to embossing paste to gesso so heavy it's as thick as paste, we want to see it used on your projects. I decided to use a favorite paste of mine to create a mini burlap panel for a friend this week. I love the look and texture of translucent embossing paste over book paper on my mixed media projects.
When I tore the book paper to create the base layer of my project, I noticed that one of the words was shine, and I wanted it to shine through in my project. I layered my stencil over that word and spread the paste. Once it was dry, I added lots of painty layers using some of Dina Wakley's heavy body acrylic paints mixed with a bit of water spray from a Distress Sprayer, then wiped away the areas where I wanted the words to show.
And I love all the drips and blending of the paint colors at the bottom of my panel:

If you did not see it on the Simon Says Stamp Blog yesterday, Simon has a new release- The Color of fun! and the colors in this release sure are fun. Lots of delicious colors in the release, I think I am going to have to get them all.
I was lucky to get my hands on some of the new stamps and dies. I used the Game Tile Letters and the Game Tiles Die in an art journal page. I also used the Grunge Alphabet to create parts of my background. These letters look great cut and stamped out of the Cherry Wood Veneer paper. This paper is SO thin you could use your finished tiles on a card and put it through the mail :)

It's a new week and time for a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week it's all about plants. Use any plants or plant parts (leaves, seeds, flowers) as the inspiration for your entry. I used some of my favorite Tim Holtz flowers to create this trifold card:
I used Distress markers to color my flowers in the colors of the rainbow, then cut and popped up different parts of the flowers for added dimension.

As some of you may know after almost 3 years, I am leaving the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Design Team and heading over to the Monday team. So there is a spot open. Time for a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is Anything Goes and the Design Team is using Waffle Flower or CAS-ual Fridays products. I used the Monochrome set to make this card to pop in my hubby's bag next time he goes on a trip!
