We are in the middle of moving, but I did make my Tim tag for January right before I packed up the craft room, and wanted to share before it was too late!  I love the idea of remixing the techniques, and can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of the year!

With Valentine's Day in a few days we are getting all romantic and creating for someone we love. As red is the color of love we would like to see a hint of that in your creation too! cha 2016: birthday calendar for tim holtz sizzix booth

Sharing another project I created for the Tim Holtz/Sizzix booth. This time I used the Calendar Words Block die to create this Perpetual Birthday Calendar. It is a little worn cover binder that has a divider for each month, and a page numbered 1-31 for each month where you can write down all the important birthdays and celebrations you don't want to miss. This seemed like a perfect way for me not to forget to send out all those birthday cards I make! 

I used a worn cover and created the bright colored cover plate using the new Stitched Rectangles Thinlits die and embossed it with the Dotted Bullseye texture fade. All of the newly released Sizzix products are available to pre-order now at Simon Says Stamp! 

I added a little ribbon and some Idea-ology pieces to embellish the spine: 

And use tons of new (and old) Sizzix dies on the inside to create pages for each month with the Calendar Words Block die:

It was great to see Tim point out my project on Periscope! 

And I was super happy that my friends were able to see my project in person in the Sizzix booth! Thank you Jenn Shurkus for sending me these great photos. You know I would not forget your birthday!

cha 2016: burlap panel for tim holtz sizzix booth

I was thrilled once again to be able to design some CHA projects for Tim Holtz. This year I got to work with some fabulous new dies and made samples for the Sizzix booth. For this project, I used the Daily Words Script Thinlits dies mixed with some Idea-ology Big Chat stickers to make the sentiment for this mixed media burlap panel. Lots of hearts from the Heartfelt die, and tons of yummy Distress Paint colors. The new dies are all available to pre-order now over at Simon Says Stamp. All supplies are linked below!

simon says stamp monday challenge: best friends

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the 'Stencil It' challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too!

This week I made a card for one of those friends who always has my back, in good and bad times :) I made this fun friendship card using a sentiment from the Tim Holtz Way with Words set and a photo from Tim's Photobooth cards.  The background was created by adding Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Carved Pumpkin to my background, and an accent from the Gilded Foil remnant rubs.

This week the theme for the challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is Stencil It! Time to break out the stencils and have some fun. I have been creating a lot of these mini canvases lately, and wanted to make a guy themed one, so I started the background for it with some bubble and numbered stencils. stamps & stuff for sale (new update)

 

We are moving next month!!! I have a ton of stuff to give a new home to and it is priced to sell. If I have not used it in the last year, I am going to try and post it on my stuff for sale page. Shipping within US only/shipping included in price so I can get it out as quickly as possible. I am not shipping internationally at this time.

All stamps have been gently used unless otherwise indicated and DO NOT come in their original packaging unless indicated as new in package. Clear stamps are on their image sheets/transparency and housed in an Avery Elle storage sleeve and labeled with the company and set name as seen in photos.

I'll be selling a lot of stamps in bundles by theme/company. Feel free to buy them up and resell them on your own on any of those crafty sale sites, I just don't have the time.

simon says stamp monday challenge blog: something new

This week the theme for the challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog this week is Something New. This can be almost anything: new products, new techniques, new style...just something that is new to you. This week I have made something old something new again. I love mixing paints and playing with color and I used Dina Wakley's color mixing chart to mix up some new paint colors with the colors I already had. I stamped tissue paper with Archival Ink using the Scribbly Birds in Flight and built my mini canvas using paints and stencils and a bold die cut word using letters from Tim Holtz's Word Play die: 

You can get a printable version of Dina's paint color mixing chart to help you stretch your paint colors from the Ranger website here. I hope you try some of these color combos, the results are really pretty!
