This week the theme for the challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is Summer Garden.
Summer is a wonderful season to enjoy your garden, the weather is warm enough to sit outside and relax, invite friends over for barbecues and enjoy picnics on the grass. We can't wait to see what creations you make for this challenge!
This week we are showcasing products from Paper Artsy, if you have them we would love to see them used but you don't have to use them to join in with the challenge. As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.
I am certainly not a gardener, but I do love to enjoy nature in the warm weather. I created this mini canvas with a by painting a Dina Wakley Media Board panel with Paper Artsy Fresco Finish paints in Amethyst, Chartreuse and Chalk. I added lots of greens by cutting out a bunch of leaves from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Spring Greenery Die. I decorated a Tim Holtz vignette box to finish off my panel using a found relatives card, tissue tape, hex fasteners, and a small talk sticker. I then covered the box, and gave the rest of the project a quick splatter of picket fence and tarnished brass paints applied with the Distress Splatter brush to finish it off.
Be sure to stop back and play along with us in a new challenge each Monday!
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher that will go to one random challenge entry. So please join us for this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. You might also be on our Friday Designer Spotlight. Good luck, I can't wait to see what you make!

I never thought to use those colours together. Chartreuse us do translucent compared to amethyst but they look great!! Must try those mixed media boards too!

That's really pretty - such gentle colours and a great photo image. I love the words too - so important.

What a fabulous piece! I really love the soft color palette and the way the sentiment really seems to reflect the scene you built: as if the girls are respectfully appreciating nature! Excellent!
