Another month almost over, and time for another Tim tag! I had to try this one a few times to get it just how I wanted it, but in the end, I love the light colors and the contrast of the dark flowers. Hope you do too :)

This week the theme for the challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is It's a Stitchup! I have been wanting to sew for a while and my mom is an amazing seamstress, but I just never learned. So she finally taught my how to do a few stitches on paper with my sewing machine that I will be able to use on some future projects. I need a lot more practice, but the stitching definitely adds something fun to the card. I've used lots of new Dina Wakley goodies on this card, and a piece of an old journal page along with some music paper. The sentiment is from the Boxed Faces set, I think this is a perfect card for so many occasions!
Be sure to stop back and play along with us in a new challenge each Monday!
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher that will go to one random challenge entry. So please join us for this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. You might also be on our Friday Designer Spotlight. Good luck, I can't wait to see what you make!

Hi there and welcome to my stop on the Hero Arts Winter Catalog Blog Hop! I am so excited to be hopping along with this group of fabulous ladies and all of you today, so thanks for stopping by. You should have arrived here from the blog of the amazing Amy Tan.
Hero Arts is giving away three $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Sunday, August 28 at 11:59pm PT and the winner will be announced the following week.
For this hop I created these fun and simple cards for you using the Origami Holiday Stamp and Die Combo :
Here is a closer peek at each. For the Santa Card, I paper pieced the origami santa and added him to a window card filled with holiday sequins:
The second card that I created using the deer stamp was embossed in gold, and I colored in each of the folds with a different color to create a fun and modern holiday card:
My favorite of the 3 may be this sweet little penguin that has been watercolored and placed on a snowbank created by swiping gesso over blue paint that was painted onto the card base. I finished off the card with a sprinkle of golden "snow":
And one more just for fun, I stamped a whole bunch of the Santas to create a background paper for my card, and colored them in loosely with watercolor and a spattering of black paint for some interest. I finished off the card with some red and white twine, and the tiniest little jingle bell. Isn't it fun?
The next stop on the hop is the super talented Debbie Olson and I am sure she has created some winter magic for you, so hop on over and take a peek! The full list of hop stops is below:

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Add Some Texture Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week the challenge is Celebrate!
We are celebrating our 6th Anniversary here on the Monday Challenge so we thought we should celebrate in style and use our very own Simon Says Stamp Products this week! I've use the Simon Says Stamp Medium Dots stencil and the Hand Lettered Encouragement stamps. Of course no celebration would be complete here without celebrating Simon, so I've included him too :)
Obviously an anniversary is an extra special occasion so this week Simon Says Stamp will be giving away not one but TWO $50 gift vouchers to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store. So we will have 2 winners this week!
So now it's YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make.
Follow Simon Says Stamp on Instagram
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #sssmchallenge so we can see your entries there too!
