Birthday Bash, Friday March 3rd 7pm-9:30pm
Join Cheiron to create cards and find inspiration for building up your stash of birthday cards. We will create birthday cards in a variety of styles from elegant to fun, a card for a kid (or kid at heart) and a masculine card too. We will use stamps from Neat and Tangled and Concord & 9th (including some from the latest releases).

Required Supplies: glue runner, detail scissors, foam tape, water brush, non-stick craft sheet

neat and tangled: doily envelope die

It's Day 4 of the Neat and Tangled February release and we have something VERY special for you today! It's a brand new Doily Envelope die and I am sure you are going to love it for Valentine's Day, wedding cards, or whenever you want a touch of elegance. This die is exclusive to the Neat and Tangled shop, and can only be purchased in the shop beginning tomorrow. 

 

 

I cut the die out with a beautiful peacock blue paper, and am using to hold a very special Valentine that will go to my Grandma:

neat and tangled: cottontail cuties

Day 3 of the Neat and Tangled Release and today we are featuring a set designed by Elena called Cottontail Cuties, just perfect for Easter and spring. She makes the cutest little animals and people!

neat and tangled: topography

Day 2 of the Neat and Tangled release, and its this set that I was most excited to see. The Topography set designed by Miriam will be great for me to make cards for my science loving friends, for the guys, and can even be transformed into something super feminine! The topography background in the set is just wonderful to color and there are so many sentiments for a variety of occasions.

I stamped the background, and embossed it in gold. I then (very carefully colored it in with zig markers in a bunch of vibrant colors. To make the black in the design pop, I embossed the sentiment in gold on a piece of black cardstock.

neat and tangled: so lucky

It's release week over at Neat and Tangled and I can't wait to share all the fun with you this week. Today I am featuring a card using the new So Lucky stamp set. I'm not even a little bit Irish, but I always love celebrating St.Patrick's Day. This set has such a wonderful big bold sentiment, and the cutest little shamrocks too! 

I used all of the little shamrocks in the set (then splattered them with a bit of gold) to create a patterned background panel and then stamped the beautiful bold sentiment on the Classic Tag 1 die. I think this will make the perfect St.Patty's card for my husband :)

concord & 9th: love notes for everyone

I'm thrilled to be sharing my last guest post for the January release today! Thank you again to Concord & 9th for having me, it is always a pleasure to create with your stamps :)

I have been getting a lot of use out of the Love Notes set and the Love Notes Envelope die. I decided to cut a bunch of them out and make one for all of the folks on my list who could use a little love. 

 

 

The first one is embossed in gold, colored over with a watercolor wash and stamped over with a few hearts:  

 The second is an ombre pattern using dye inks, and the hearts stamp from the Love Always set:

 Then there is a black and gold combo made with some embossing and a spritz of Tarnished Brass Distress Mica Spray: 

A more "manly" approach using the Barnwood Background: 

A colorful combo of bright hearts: 

 

 And a marbled look using Distress paint: 

 There really is no limit to the combinations you can make to personalize these little envelopes! And they are the perfect size to fit gift cards.
