simon says stamp monday challenge: inside the box

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Road Trip Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too!

I'm thrilled to be joining the Simon Says Monday Challenge team again!

This week the challenge is Inside the Box. I used one of the Tim Holtz Trinket Tins, and I covered it with Floral Collage Paper. Then I adhered one of the Butterfly Adornments that I had painted with Distress Paints to the front.

For the inside of the box, I used the same collage paper on one side along with a picture cut from a Photo Booth strip. I used some of the Vignette Accents to look like they are "holding" the photo in place. On the opposite side, I kept it simple with a quote token and a mini bouquet made out of Bouquet findings that I colored with Distress Spray Stains. I wrapped up the bouquet in paper and tied it with a little bit of gold thread.

tim holtz pennants: lucky is a state of mind

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! I hope you are wearing some green today, and getting your Irish on...Today I'm sharing another Creativation 2018 make with the new Pennants set. There is a pennant here for almost any occasion:

This set is perfect for all those academic/collegiate themed cards but also fun in many shades of green to send a little luck!

To created the stamped panel, I stamped the pennant repeatedly using Lucky Clover, Peeled Paint, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides. I went over the edges with a little Black Soot Distress Ink and used a Black Soot Distress Marker and a Marker Spritzer to lightly go over the panel. I added the scalloped edges from the Stitched Ovals die set and adhered it to an inked panel that was done using the same Distress Oxides as I used for stamping.

To complete my card, I added one more stamped pennant that had been embossed with clear embossing powder and cut with the stitched circle and also spritzed with the Marker Spritzer. I then finished it with a bit of twine and a lucky clover Adornment.

get cracking on christmas: march

Continuing along with my goal to 'Get Cracking on Christmas' all year long, by creating my Christmas cards throughout the year! If you want to see how it all started, go to my original post here.

Today, I have a super simple card with another set I bought, but never got to ink up this adorable Flora and Fauna Christmas by the Sea set. I cut some Waffle Flower Lacy Layers 2 dies, inked the background up a bit and added my stamped and fussy cut (yep, that's right -fussy cut) mermaid to the card with a simple sentiment.

neat and tangled: friendly florals

It's Day 3 of the Neat and Tangled release and I have been having so much fun with this Friendly Florals set. It is super fun to color, and there are so many possibilities for creating cards with it. Today, I stamped and colored a whole bunch of images from the set, then arranged them with foam tape on my card. The sentiment is stamped and embossed with VersaFine ink. When the card was assembled, I went over all of the flowers and leaves with Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze to make them shiny. It almost looks like a big embellishment sticker on the front of my card.

neat and tangled: no words

It's Day 2 of the Neat and Tangled release and today we are featuring the No Words set. This sentiment set is just perfect for those occasions where you want to let the recipient know that you are thinking of them. I love the script font in this set and know that it is sure to become one of my go-to sets in the future. See those beautiful blooms on the background? Come back tomorrow to find out what they are all about!

For this card, I stamped a pattern of flowers and loosely colored them in with watercolors. Added a little blue splatter on top, and a few sequins. I definitely will be making more of these types of backgrounds.
