This week the challenge is MASCULINE and I have created a Tim Holtz Etcetera Tag based on the Foundry Tag that says 'The Webb Co, Allentown, PA". I created a the background of my tag by covering it with Metallic Paper that was run through the Foundry 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder:

 

I added a image from the Found Relatives pack and a combination of a few different words and phrases to tell the story of my piece along with a Foundry Adornment: 

I love the mixture of metals and the patchwork effect of it all together with the different wood accents:

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Stencil It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too!

 

This week the challenge is Inspired by a Song, and my song pick for this challenge was Empire State of Mind by Alicia Keys...I was inspired to create a Citiscape of a place where dreams come true: 

 

I created a starry sky panel by spraying Distress Resist Spray onto a piece of Mixed Media Heavystock. Once it was dry I inked over it with Blueprint sketch Distress Oxide (the texture in person is AMAZING). I cut the buildings from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Metropolis dies and inked them with various colors of Distress Inks and added clouds and stars and the moon from the Snowglobe 2 Thinlits dies to create my starry scene.

get cracking on christmas: may

Continuing along with my goal to 'Get Cracking on Christmas' all year long, by creating my Christmas cards with a few crafty friends throughout the year! If you want to see how it all started, go to my original post here.

Today, I created a card with a little bit of a non-traditional color palette, using hot pink and teal along with my green. I just love the illustration style of this Whimsical Winter set from Mama Elephant. And the Puffy Holiday Greetings are the perfect sentiments to go with them! I only got to make one of these cards this month, but I will try to stamp a few more before I put all my supplies away :)

neat and tangled: dimensional triangles

It's already Day 4 of the Neat and Tangled release and I hope you like what you've seen so far!!! One of my favorite things from each release is a new cover plate and this Dimensional Triangles cover plate is no exception! I decided to cut it out and layer each triangle back in to the cover plate in summer colored glitter card stock. I finished it off with a few white Nuvo drops:

Welcome to Day 3 of the Neat and Tangled release! I hope you are enjoying all you've seen so far this week. Today we have this awesome Layered Landscapes set designed by Miriam which has so many awesome possibilities. You can keep it clean and simple as I've done below, or change the scene into a reflective one where the mountains are bordered by a lake or body of water. Today is Day 2 of the Neat and Tangled release and we have a super cute set for you today called Paint Nite! I just love these little kids and their paintbrushes and easels and bet you will too:) Today I've created a card with this super sweet gal creating a masterpiece of her own. Don't you just love her paint splattered apron?

Hello crafty friends! I hope you are enjoying the hints of summer weather we've been getting here on the East Coast. I am excited for summer and even more excited to share the first card of the May Neat and Tangled release with you. Today we are featuring the Hello Summer set that comes with a bunch of fun graphics and sentiments for summer and a matching word/shadow die cut. I've made a super clean and simple card for you using the set and the die which I cut the outline from my main panel, then layered the word that I colored with copic markers back in with a piece of black card stock underneath to make it pop. I hope you'll stop by the blog to see the inspiration from all of the designers with this set.

simon says stamp monday challenge: ombre

 

 

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Time's Up Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :) 

 

This week the challenge is OMBRE and this week we are using products from one of my favorite artists and designers Dina Wakley! We would love for you to use some of her products in your challenge entry if you have some. This week I've created an altered tag with tons of Dina's paints.

 

I painted the ombre background onto the tag that I had covered with die cut letters, then removed some paint with a baby wipe through the Dollops stencil. Then I mixed some turquoise paint with crackle paste and added that through the Spaced Dots stencil. Once all of this was dry I added images and a sentiment from the Contour Figures set and colored them with Scribble sticks. I also wet the ends of the scribble sticks and used a paintbrush to flick color over my project. Everything was adhered with Ultra Thick Gel Medium.
