This week the challenge is Wild Things and I created a tag for my sister's dog to give with a bag of treats from my dog. They really are best buddies! To create my tag, I cut a tag from yupo paper, colored it with alcohol inks and removed some of the ink through the star stencil with the alcohol lift ink. I added the dude die cut and a fun little best friends sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Messages for Everyday set. See all supplies linked below .

Hi there! I am so excited to be joining a group of awesome designers today as part of a Blog Hop celebrating the newest SImon Says Stamp release, Friendly Frolic, from Simon Says Stamp. You should have arrived here from the blog of the amazingly talented Lea Lawson.

They will post those winners to the Simon Says Stamp store blog on Wednesday so be sure to check back.I have a few cards to share with you today, all created with the Folk Dance Wafer die. I know this die is going to get a lot of use, there are so many fun color combinations that can be made and so many ways to change it up.

For my first card, I created an alcohol ink panel in beautiful blues, placed it on some stick it and die cut it. I placed it down on my card base and very carefully removed the outline. A Sizzix die pick works great to help gently push out the pieces that you actually want to stick to the base. It is a little time consuming, but the effort is so worth it. I finished off the card with the Kindness Matters die cut out of SImon Says Stamp Blue Violet cardstock.
 

For my second card, I die cut the die 3 times from panels that I had colored with Distress Oxides and inlaid them back into the outline piece. I love the look of these and modern Scandinavian color scheme. I finished this card with the Big Thanks dies.

 

For my final card, I used a black background where I embossed the die cut and did not cut it all the way through. I used my Gelly Roll Moonlight pens to color inside the outline of the flowers. I love the scribbly look this gives. I added the Miss You die to make my card complete. If you liked these cards be sure to follow me on INSTAGRAM to see all my card makes :)

Hi there crafty friends! I'm back with another installment of Get Cracking on Christmas, where my friend Jenn has challenged us to work on our Christmas cards each month throughout the year to build up our stash BEFORE the holidays. You can read all about how this got started here.

Today, I have used one of my favorite Neat and Tangled sets, Elfs and their Shelves. I think I used the set once when I got it for an annual holiday card event that I teach and never got any more love. I pulled it out today for some quick coloring and a super cute and easy card. neat and tangled: celebrate you

Happy Thursday!  Today is the final day of release reveals AND all products are now available in the Neat & Tangled store.

Today is a very special reveal because today's set, Celebrate You, is a fundraising set.  Here's a little bit about it in Danielle's words: As many of you know, my dad become very ill unexpectedly last year. You can read much much more about his story HERE. The gist is that after a routine knee replacement he developed and was diagnosed with a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), which is an unimaginable disease. Sadly, it has earned the nickname "The Suicide Disease", as the physical, mental, and emotional pain that it brings often becomes too much to bear. It has been on my heart to pay this forward. I have designed a stamp and die set, Celebrate You, that we will use the sales of (both wholesale and retail) to help families of CRPS in financial need. Customers will also have the option to just make a straight donation without purchase on our website.  Donations we collect will be made to the Burning Limb Foundation, a non-profit created by a former patient of Dr. Katinka's.  Dr. Katinka and the Burning Limb Foundation will work together to distribute the funds to families at the Neurologic Relief Center that are most in need, some will be patients already at her center, others will be those that have not had the funds to begin treatment. I am calling this campaign "Crafting with Compassion", as the definition of compassion is the humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something about it, which sums up my mission with this.  

 

I'm really excited about this set and the challenge that we're unveiling tomorrow that coordinates with it. Here is my card for today, which is perfect for any occasion, or for no occasion at all! I created it by stamping the words on the panel, then turning the card into a Shaker with tons of fun sequins.

It's Day 2 of the Neat and Tangled release and today I am featuring the Snake Scales Cover Plate. For my card today, I created a fun alcohol ink background to create a look of pink and purple scales for my mermaid. This background pairs perfectly with the Mermazing stamp and die set (I love when that happens!)

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Food and Drink Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too

 

 

This week the challenge is RED, WHITE and/or BLUE and the design team is using products from Darkroom Door. For this week's challenge I created a fun and funky alcohol ink background and used the Darkroom Door Artsy Triangles stamps along with some Alcohol Lift-Ink reinker through the stencil to pull up some of  that ink and create a fun pattern. I added lots of red, white and blue including some of my favorite pieces of Tim Holtz Idea-ology...
