Hi there! I am so excited to be joining a group of awesome designers today as part of a Blog Hop celebrating the newest SImon Says Stamp release, Friendly Frolic, from Simon Says Stamp. You should have arrived here from the blog of the amazingly talented Lea Lawson.
Before I show you my cards, I have a special code to share with you. Be sure to use the code FREEG on your order to get a free mystery gif with your order. The code will expire Sunday, 7/29 at 11:59 pm ET., and I’d love it if you’d shop through my link HERE or through the supply list below. Also, Simon Says Stamp is giving a $25 coupon to one lucky winner at EVERY stop on the blog hop! They will post those winners to the Simon Says Stamp store blog on Wednesday so be sure to check back.I have a few cards to share with you today, all created with the Folk Dance Wafer die. I know this die is going to get a lot of use, there are so many fun color combinations that can be made and so many ways to change it up.
For my first card, I created an alcohol ink panel in beautiful blues, placed it on some stick it and die cut it. I placed it down on my card base and very carefully removed the outline. A Sizzix die pick works great to help gently push out the pieces that you actually want to stick to the base. It is a little time consuming, but the effort is so worth it. I finished off the card with the Kindness Matters die cut out of SImon Says Stamp Blue Violet cardstock.
For my second card, I die cut the die 3 times from panels that I had colored with Distress Oxides and inlaid them back into the outline piece. I love the look of these and modern Scandinavian color scheme. I finished this card with the Big Thanks dies.
For my final card, I used a black background where I embossed the die cut and did not cut it all the way through. I used my Gelly Roll Moonlight pens to color inside the outline of the flowers. I love the scribbly look this gives. I added the Miss You die to make my card complete. If you liked these cards be sure to follow me on INSTAGRAM to see all my card makes :)
I hope you enjoyed these 3 takes on the Folk Dance die. Be sure to leave a comment on all the stops on the hop for your chance to win! The next stop on the hop is the super talented Mindy Baxter...please hop on over and check out her awesome creations :)

Your cards are great. That last one is a surprise. It looks as though you Inlaid all of those pieces. I was shocked to read you embossed the die & colored the images! Great idea! Much less time consuming than inlaying all the pieces, and just as lovely.
