My card today is made with one of my favorite products, Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks and I am so glad to see everyone using them again! My backgrounds have come a long, long way since I started using them many years ago. To celebrate, I have created an alcohol ink background in my favorite palette, rainbow!

I created the background by dripping all of my favorite bright colors of alcohol ink onto some yupo paper. I used alcohol and a brush to blend and create the splatter. For my sentiment I used some Simon Says Stamp CZ Designs stamps and dies. See full supply list at the bottom of this post.

simon says stamp monday challenge: autumn/fall

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Back to School Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too!

This week our challenge is Autumn/Fall and I created a mini framed panel to celebrate my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. I began by covering the back of the panel with a piece of patterned paper, then layering the Distressed Doily and a ton of Fall Foliage leaves that were colored with Distress Inks.

get cracking on christmas: august

ontinuing along with my goal to 'Get Cracking on Christmas' all year long, by creating my Christmas cards with a few crafty friends throughout the year! If you want to see how it all started, go to my original post here.

Today I created a card with a set that is perfect for anyone during the holiday season, no matter what holiday they celebrate. This adorable So Many Snowmen stamp from Mama Elephant has THE cutest snowmen which are sure to bring a smile to anyone's face! I paired them with a sentiment from Jingle Greetings. The coloring is a bit time consuming, but the stamping is easy and it's a great project to take along with you! Why not switch up the colors based on the recipient too?

neat & tangled 6th birthday blog hop (and giveaway)

So happy to be hopping along and Neat & Tangled's 6th birthday, this week! What makes this release week even more fun is that all of the products are available in the Neat & Tangled shop right now, and I think you are going to love these sets. I've created a fun birthday card and gift card box for my niece who turns 12 today! I mixed gold, purple and some florals to give the card and box a fun and festive touch. To create my card, I stamped the wreath and sentiment and embossed them in gold on black card stock, adding some pops of color with Prismacolor pencils. I adhered the wreath with a fun foam backing onto a gold striped paper splattered with black paint to give it a fun and modern touch.

To create the gift card box, I cut the box from gold card stock and added a triangle patterned paper and embossed my sentiment in gold. I also stamped and embossed the flowers and leaves in gold on black card stock and colored them in with pencils. I adhered them with foam tape to the top of the box.

tim holtz/stampers anonymous halloween 2018: zombies

Hi crafty friends. I sure hope that you were able to catch Tim's Facebook live today where he showed all the new Stampers Anonymous stamps and stencils for Halloween...so much frightful and delightful all in one place!

Today I am sharing the first card I made using the new Zombies set and Shifter Dots and diamonds from the Mini Stencils 36 set. This one was super fun to create and can you believe that the background pieces started as all white cardstock? These zombies are super fun to color and the sentiments that come in the set are great for Halloween cards or all year round for your favourite zombie fan!

I created the background of the card by using some Distress Mixed Media Heavystock and inking it with Black Soot and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides through the Shifter Dots stencil. I then inked another panel that was cut with the Stacked Postage Sizzix Thinlits and layered it on top of the dots. I created a frame from the Stacked Labels SIzzix Thinlits and backed it with another piece of paper that I inked with the Mini diamond stencil. I stamped and watercolored the zombies in with regular Distress Inks and a waterbrush. Once they were dry, I adhered them with foam tape and added some Glossy Accents to their "bloodshot" eyes.

simon says stamp monday challenge: tape it up
