neat and tangled: typed sentiments and skinny strips

Hi there! Welcome to Day 3 of the Neat and Tangled release for February...today we are introducing Typed Sentiments and Skinny Strips. This set is going to be perfect for so many cards!!! I am temped to stamp and cut all of the sentiments out just so I have them on hand...

For my card today I stamped and cut out 3 of the sentiments to use on my card and combined them with a background of popped up flowers from the Magnolia stamp set:

tim holtz creativation 2019 blog hop

Hi crafty friends! Welcome to the Tim Holtz Creativation 2019 Blog Hop! A huge thank you as always to Richele for organizing this fun hop. So exciting to see samples using all of the new products that were released at Creativation last month. And thank you Tim, Paula and Mario for giving me the opportunity to create samples with these wonderful products.

Today I am featuring a card I designed using the new Inventor 8 Stampers Anonymous stamps. I always love the grunge looks I see with these stamps but wanted to see if they would work in my favorite colorway, rainbow.

To create this card, I stamped the fan stamp onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The detail on this stamp is just beautiful. I watercolored each of the inside panels of the fan with Distress Ink that I had put down on my glass mat and picked up with a Detailer water brush.


Once the colors were dry in the center of the fan, I stamped it again on some masking paper, and masked off the circular portion of the fan. When that was done I went over the entire panel with Pumice Stone Distress Ink and gave the card a light spritz with my Distress Sprayer. The masking keeps the colors on the inside nice and bright. I also took a paintbrush and VERY CAREFULLY flicked the corresponding color of ink around the outside of the fan so it looked like it was blowing the color right out. The colors look super vivid on top of that Pumice Stone background!   


When that was dry (and I think the most important step is patience and letting the panel dry fully before messing with it) I removed the mask paper. I love the results of this card and giving it that unexpected twist of rainbow!  I hope you have enjoyed this card, and the full list of supplies used is at the bottom of the post. Hi there! Welcome to Day 3 of the Neat and Tangled release for February...today we have Jump for Joy! I love these happy little critters and their trampoline so much. To create this card, I blended Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Wild Honey to make a warm background. Then I stamped the sentiment in black and added 3 adorable bunnies that are filled with love :)

Hi there! Welcome to Day 1 of the Neat and Tangled release for February...today we are introducing you a new product to Neat and Tangled a 6 X 6 cling stamp called Mail Background. This stamp is perfect for Valentine's Day or just to send happy mail any time of year. For my card, I stamped the background and watercolored it in then added a little gold shimmer to the envies and some Distress Ink shading to the edges. Don't you love the little heart and envied die too? And that sentiment? Just a sneak of something coming up later this week :)
