To create my panel, I started by coloring a square 6 inch Ranger Hard Core Art Panel with my favorite bright colors of alcohol inks. Once the panel was dry, I added a mat to it with Gold Metallic Kraft Core paper that I cut to 6 1/4 square. I added this to a Dina Wakley Canvas Panel that I cut down to 9 X 9 and painted with Black Heavy Body Paint.
I adhered some numerical paper that I sprayed with Distress Resist Spray and embossed in gold to the back of a Baseboard Frame. Now to add the texture to the rest of the piece. To do this without covering everything and to make the splatter seamless, I covered the inside of the frame with paper, and I covered the alcohol ink panel with a piece of scrap paper. I stacked the alcohol ink panel then the frame on top of that onto the black canvas panel. I put it into a box and gave it a few generous sprays of Distress Resist Spray, then added Ranger Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed it. Then I pulled off the pieces of paper that were covering everything up.
I love the texture and the look of the splatter that you get when combining Texture Resist Spray and Embossing powder. To finish off the project, I added some Hardware Heads to the corners of the alcohol inked panel. I adhere the paper backed frame onto the center of the panel, then adhered a large Faceted Heart which I had cut out of red Metallic Jewels Kraft Stock.
For the final touch, I added a Quote Chip under the heart, attached to the frame.
