Hi crafty friends, it's time for another challenge over one the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us in the Spooky Challenge last week and we hope you will join us this week too. 

 

This week our challenge is Art Journaling and for this week's challenge I decided to create a quick and easy page in my Dina Wakley 6 x 6 White Journal: 

 

I kept the colors very neutral and worked with simple layers. I added a layer of watery Lemon paint to the background to create the first layer. I added more background layers using the Large Halves, Ladders and Shape Mashup stencils in Sand, Cheddar and White. 

When all of that was dry, I added some spatter with some watered down Medieval paint and added some words that I cut from my Collage Paper using Gel Medium. To complete my page, I stamped one of the girls from the Interesting Faces stamp set onto Kraft Cardstock and adhered it with gel medium.

Hi there crafty friends! Welcome to Day 1 of the October Neat and Tangled release. I hope you have been enjoying these smaller monthly releases, I know I have. It definitely gives me more time to create with the stamps and use them in so many different ways. This month we have two stamp and die sets being released Heartfelt Thanks and Circular. Today I'm using the Heartfelt Thanks set and I've colored it in a simple fall palette with Copic markers, die cut the image out and placed it on a panel of woodgrain cardstock for a rustic look.

Hi crafty friends, it's time for another challenge over one the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us in the All Things Pink Challenge last week and we hope you will join us this week too. 

 

This week our challenge is Spooky and for this week's challenge I have created a spooky vignette tray using all kinds of Tim Holtz Halloween Idea-ology goodness. I took a Vignette Tray and added Halloween Collage Paper to the inside using Distress Collage Medium. I used one of the pieces from the Layers and Baseboard Frames pack along with a Halloween Paper Doll to create my focal image. 

I added some stickers from the Curiosities Sticker Book and a Halloween Quote Chip along with two Hardware Heads to make it look secured to the piece. 


Then I added lots of creepy goodness to the bottom of the tray including a Creepy Eye in a Corked Dome, a Zombie hand and a gravestone from the Cryptic pack and a jar of Wishbones.

Continuing along with my goal to 'Get Cracking on Christmas' all year long, by creating my Christmas cards with a few crafty friends throughout the year! If you want to see how it all started, go to my original post here.

I'm happy to be able to share a Christmas card this month along with my friend Jenn. Be sure to visit her blog to check out the fabulous cards she has made. I did not get cracking for August and September, so for this month's cards I decided to take out all the BRAND NEW Flora and Fauna Holiday Stamps that I have not played with yet and make a few cards. I have also been loving the plaid stamping that I have seen over on the Flora and Fauna instagram account this week too and wanted to try it out. So I made three different plaids and turned them into cards. 

On the first card, I stamped the lines from the Texture 4 set with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide to make an all over pattern. Then I used the Winter Penguin Party and Holiday Word Party 2 sets as my focal images. Don't you just love that little garland on the igloo? 

For the second card, I did a more unusual color combination using the Texture 3 stamps and Evergreen Bough and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides to make a fun pink and green card. For this card, the Mini Winter Polar Bear set was the perfect match. I stamped the mountains in Manatee ink and the little trees in Pine Needles DIstress Oxide. I love all the little images that are included in this one mini set! 

I used a more traditional red and green palette using Texture 2 for this last card stamping my plaid with Mowed Lawn and Festive Berries Distress Ink. This one is so simple to make. I finished this card using the Typed Joy die cut from silver glitter cardstock.

Sharing a few cards I made today my favorite stamp set from the newest Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous release. If you watched Tim's Facebook live, you may have seen the 4 cards (yes 4!!) I made with this awesome Seasonal Scribbles set. If not, you can check out all of this season's Stampers Anonymous stamps in his Facebook live here. If you know me, the cuter the stamp the better - and I absolutely love this set for creating quick, easy and adorable Christmas cards. For the first card, I just stamped almost all of the small images from the set in different colors of Distress Oxides to create a fun, colorful pattern. I embossed the sentiment onto a black square of cardstock and adhered it to the card with foam tape. 


For my second card, I wanted to create a snowy scene. I stamped the house, stamped the little trees in different greens, and added the stars and snow to create this cozy scene. For the snow, I cut a hill out of Distress Watercolor cardstock, then spread a thin layer of Grit Paste. While the grit paste was still wet I used a Glitter Duster to add a blanket of Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter. When the glittery panel was dry, I added it to my card.


The third card is super easy to create! I repeated a background of the holly leaves all over the card panel, then went over the berries with Ranger Wild Orchid enamel accents. I finished it simply with a stamped and embossed sentiment.


For my last card, I did the same thing as the previous card by creating a pattern using the presents stamps. This one is a little more structured, and I had a great time playing around with new color combinations!I hope you will check out this set for yourself. It is one of my holiday "must haves" for this year and I am sure I will be using it for years to come!

This week our challenge is All Things Pink and I've created a pink Snowwoman card styled with a shiny pink scarf and mittens. 

To create my card this week, I used a few brand new Tim Holtz Sizzix dies including the Mr. Snowman Colorize die, Christmas Ribbons and Festive Things. I started by creating a background panel by blending Distress Oxides in Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers, then misting the panel with some water. When the panel was dry, I added some Ranger Texture Paste through the Mini Starry Stencil that comes in the Mini Layering Stencil Set 44. While the panel was drying I cut out my die cuts. The sentiment I backed with craft foam that had an adhesive backing before I ran it through the die cutting machine.

Welcome crafty friends and thanks for hopping over to my blog today. I am so excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp to celebrate their new release...Cheer and Joy! You should have arrived here from the blog of the amazing Amanda Korotkova :) If you know me, I absolutely love any stamps designed by Cathy Zielske, and was so excited to get the Clean Line Christmas stamp set in my package. I have created 3 cards with it, and another using a new background and an older CZ Design set. You can see all the products from the Cheer and Joy release HERE. 


For my first card, I used all of the trees in the Clean Line Christmas on a panel of soft navy cardstock. I stamped and embossed the Silent Night sentiment in white and added some gold and white splatter to my background. I stamped and embossed the trees on Tim Holtz gold Metallic Kraft Stock in white and cut them out. I cut some snowy hills then nestled the trees into the hillside. 

For my second card, I used the new Marie Snowflake Die along with some Tim Holtz Confections Metallic Kraft Stock in all the colors of the rainbow. This kraft stock cuts like a dream. I added the Season's Greetings sentiment from Clean Line Christmas to the card then arranged the snowflakes around the sentiment. I added a Pretty Pink Posh clear droplet to the center of each snowflake and mounted the panel onto black cardstock. 

For my next card, I blended a background panel using Distress Oxides in Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Tea Die onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I added splatters of Hero Arts White Glimmer and Gold Starry Colors watercolors. When the panel was dry, I stamped and embossed the Peace sentiment. To finish the card, I added a Marie Snowflake cut from Simon Says Stamp White Glitter paper and backed with craft foam. I matted it onto a piece of gold metallic kraft stock, then onto a white notecard. 

For my last card, I used the super fun new Outline Christmas bulbs and stamped them and embossed them with Onyx Black Versafine Ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I painted the bulbs in with Daniel Smith watercolors in Opera Pink (my fav color ever), Quinacridone Red, Hooker's Green and Olive Green. I let the panel dry and then gave it a splatter of Hero Arts White Shimmer and Gold Starry Colors Watercolors. I adhered it to a white notecard and used the Let's Get Lit sentiment from one of my favorite CZ Design sets, Happy Hour. This card is going to be perfect to give with a bottle of holiday cheer! 

That's it for me today, but I am sure I will be making plenty more cards with these sets and the other sets that I have ordered from this release.
