simon says stamp monday challenge: home decor

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you to all of you who played along with us last week in our Rust It Up Challenge and I hope you will join us again this week. This week our theme is Home Decor and I hope you all will give this challenge a try and share your creation with us :)

This week I created a mini Mixed Media Panel that will be perfect to display on a little shelf in my studio where I rotate the artwork from time to time. For this panel, I used some of the brand new Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. You are definitely going to want to get your hands on some of these! To create the panel I used the new Gloss Sprays and the star chipboard shape from the Basics Chipboard shapes and used it as a mask. Then I sprayed over the panel with more sprays. 

I added the x's using black paint, a foam blending tool and the Xs stencil. Then I  added additional layers and marks with Scribble Sticks and then added white Scribble Stick around the outline of the stars to make them pop. To finish my piece I used a focal image and a sentiment from the I Spill stamps.

Fabulous artwork Cheiron! I love the background and I a definitely going to get me some of those new gloss sprays!!! Love the vibrant colours :-)
