Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you to all of you who played along with us last week in our Something New Challenge and I hope you will join us again this week. This week our theme is Rust It Up and I hope you all will give this challenge a try and share it with us :)

For my card this week, I wanted to use the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Retro Type Bigz die. I cut it out and painted it with Black Soot Distress Paint. Then I added bits of Grit Paste along with Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge and Ground Espresso Distress Paints over top. To make it even more rusty, I added some Prima Rust Effect paste over top with my finger.
For the background, I swiped a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock through some Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks that I sprayed with water and some Tarnished Brass DIstress Mica Spray, drying it with a heat tool and adding layers of ink.
Once my background was dry, I used Archival Inks and Rusty Hinge Ink Distress Ink to fill it up with images from the Stampers Anonymous Documented set. I stamped a sentiment from the Glorious Garden set onto a piece of paper and put it through the typewriter and then added the tiny heart from the Falling Hearts dies.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting
You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in!

This beautiful card makes me hope even more that that typewriter die will be soon available over here at my corner of the Alps ;)
Love the subtle rust and texture against that beautiful background!

Gorgeous rusty typewriter, Cheiron! I love the background and how you created your 'typed' message, too.

I love your rusty, dusty old typewriter - like something you'd find tucked in a far corner of an antique shop. Great background too.
