Hi crafty friends, welcome to the first challenge of the new year over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us in the Party Time challenge over the last 2 weeks and we sure hope you will join us this week too!

This week our challenge is Something New and the design team is using products from Darkroom Door. I've created a fun Tim Holtz Etcetera tag this week using Distress Paints in lots of bright colors along with a few of my favorite stencils, including the Dots Small Stencil from Darkroom Door.
This week our challenge is Something New and the design team is using products from Darkroom Door. I've created a fun Tim Holtz Etcetera tag this week using Distress Paints in lots of bright colors along with a few of my favorite stencils, including the Dots Small Stencil from Darkroom Door.
To create this look, I painted the entire #8 Etcetera tag with Picket Fence Distress Paint. Once the paint was dry, I took a few of my favorite stencils and bright colors of Distress Paints. I added the first color, then took a stencil and wiped through it with a baby wipe to remove the paint. I let each color dry before adding the next color. Then I used the Splatter Brush to splatter the entire tag with Black Soot Distress Paint. To finish the tag, I added some Ephemera, and a Photobooth photo. To finish the tag, I add a Quote Chip, a Foundry Adornment, and a Clippings Sticker.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting
You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in!

Love this - the colors really pop. I will have to try that stencil technique....not sure I still have Distress Paints, but........
You are always an inspiration, but today is a serious winner. There is a real story here in the project and I will be thinking about it all day long. Have a great week, you crafty gal!
