Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you to all of you who played along with us last week in our Stencil It Challenge and I hope you will play along with us this week in the Steampunk Challenge. For my card this week, I used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Evolution set as my focal image.
To create the card, I used Distress Watercolor cardstock and created a background panel by using Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress inks smooshed onto a glass mat and sprayed with water. Then I swiped my paper through it and let it dry. Once it was dry, I stamped a pattern onto it using the Tailor and Houndstooth stamp and Weathered Wood Distress Ink.
When the panel was dry, I added lots of Mini Gears and Sprocket Gears. I also added a Quote Chip with a technique I learned on Tim Holtz's most recent FB Live. I embossed the Quote Chip with Weathered Wood Distress Embossing Glaze, heat embossed it then went over it with a Walnut Stain Distress Crayon, and wiped some off with a damp paper towel. I added Hardware Heads colored with Mushroom Alcohol Ink to each side of the chip.
For the background, I used the Foundry 3D Texture Fade along with some Metallic 3 Kraft Core paper and ran it through my Vagabond three times (this gives a better 3d effect than just passing it through once). When that was done, I took a tiny bit of Black Soot Distress Paint and rubbed it over the piece, as it started to dry, I buffed some off with a dry cloth. Then I adhered all the parts together.

Damn rustic. I love the shades you've given. It reminds me of Peaky blinders TV show.
