simon says stamp monday challenge: steampunk

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week's Frame It! Challenge and we hope you will join us again this week. This week our Challenge is Steampunk and we'd love to have you play along. 

 

For my project this week, I created a simple tag with a background of Distress Oxide Sprays (I used Old Paper and Speckled Egg) and some Frayed Burlap DIstress Spray Stain. I built up a few layers of spray, drying in between each one. When the tag was dry, I got to stamping. I used a ton of images from the Stampers Anonymous Ladies and Gentlemen stamp set, stamping them all in Distress Archival Ink. Then I inked the edges of the tag with Walnut Stain DIstress Ink. To finish the tag, I added some MIni Gears, Sprocket Gears and a Quote Chip that I secured with Hardware Heads.
