simon says stamp monday challenge: red, white & (or) blue

Hello there creative friends! Welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you to all who played along with our 'We Can See Clearly' Challenge last week and we hope you will join us again this week too. This week our Challenge is Red, White (and/or) Blue and all you need to do is incorporate one of these colors into your Challenge project and link it up on the Challenge page for your chance to win. 

I created a fun 4th of July card with some supplies that I have not used in a while. To begin, I took a piece of White Mixed Media Heavystock and sprayed it with Antique Linen Distress Spray Stain to make the paper look aged and dried it with a Ranger Heat tool. Then I cut the 4's from the paper using the Sizzix Countdown Thinlits. I adhered them to the card base using Distress Collage Medium. 

I added another layer of Distress Collage Medium over the entire panel, using my finger to smooth out any brush lines and pools of medium and let it dry. Once it was dry I colored over the panel with DIstress Crayons in Faded Jeans, Picket Fence and Fired Brick and dampened my finger on a baby wipe and moved the crayon around. 

I added some spatter to the background using Black Soot and Picket Fence Distress Paints using a Splatter Brush and let them dry. I stamped the bullseye in Embossing Ink and embossed it with Fired Brick Distress Embossing Glaze, then cut it out. I stamped the man from the Inquisitive set in Faded Jeans Distress Archival Ink and cut him out. I stamped the sentiment from the Crazy Talk set and added to the card. To add a final touch, I cut stars from gold Metallic cardstock using the Sizzix Swirling stars die

It's time for a brand new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thanks to all who played along with us in our Beautiful Blooms Challenge this last week and we hope you will join us again this week too! This week our challenge is 'We Can See Clearly' and we challenge you to use all of those clear supplies in your stash...

This week I tried out one of the new Tonic Shaker Creator pockets to create my colorful shaker and they are super easy to create with, as they have the adhesive already attached. To make my card, I created an inky panel with my favorite colors of Distress Inks and stamped images from a few of my favorite Stampers Anonymous stamp sets to add some interest. I added the shaker pocket, filled it with a few different types of sequins from my stash and sealed it up. I added stamps from the Distinguished set over a Stencil Chip and then added a Quote Chip to finish the card front. I mounted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock then adhered it to a white notecard.

Happy Monday crafty friends and welcome to a brand new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.  Thank you to all that played along with us last week in our Mixed Media Challenge and I we hope you will join us again this week too. This week our challenge is Beautiful Blooms...and I took out some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps and created a fun background for my focal image. I used Flower Shop, Documented, Faded Type, Ornate Trims (to create a pattern on my purple panel) and Tiny Text. 

I started by inking a panel of Mixed Media Heavystock with Milled Lavender and Antique Linen Distress Inks and drying it with my Ranger Heat Tool. I added background stamping from the Flower Shop, Documented and Faded Type sets. I stamped the main flower from the Flower Shop set in Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide and then embossed it with Tattered Rose Distress Embossing Glaze. I added a sentiment from the Tiny Text stamp set. For the purple background, I stamped an image from Ornate Trims in a repeat pattern to create a lacy background.

Happy Monday crafty friends and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!  Thank you to all who played along with us last week in our Inspired By An Artist Challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) This week our challenge is Mixed Media, so get out those Mixed Media Supplies and be sure to share your creation with us. The design team is featuring products by the fabulous Dina Wakley this week, I have been a long time fan, and love pretty much every product she creates. 

To make my tag this week I used Dina's Collage Collective 2 - Vol 2 to create the base of my tag and cut it out with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Tag collection Framelits die. This paper has the look of Mixed Media using Dina's artwork. I adhered collaged bits from my stash to the tag using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. I stamped and cut images from the Collaged Girls and Be Willing Stamp Sets and adhered them to my card using Dina Wakley Media Gel Medium. To finish the tag I added some splatter using Marine Gloss Spray.
