Hi there crafty friends! Today I am happy to kick off the fall season with one of my favorite fall leaf cards ever using the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Oak Leaf Cut and Emboss folder. This die/embossing folder combo cuts and embosses the leaf at the same time, so you get beautiful dimension and texture. I'll walk you through how I created this fall leaf slimline card with tons of shine, texture and dimension.
To begin, I cut a bunch of leaves out using the Oak Leaf Cut and Emboss folder and White Distress Heavystock. Then I lightly misted my leaves with water using a Distress Sprayer and sprayed them with my favorite colors of Distress Spray Stains and added the new Seasonal Halloween Distress Mica Stains Set 1 and Set 2 to really give them shimmer and shine. I dried the leaves with a heat tool and put them aside. These awesome stains are a seasonal release, so be sure to pick them up while you can.
Then I created the panel for my slimline by cutting a piece of Dark Chocolate cardstock to 3 1/4 x 8 1/4. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampers Anonymous Nature's Wonder set onto the bottom of my panel and embossed it in gold. Once the embossing was done, I added the leaves in a pattern onto my card panel using foam tape then I turned the panel over and used scissors to cut any of the leaf pieces that were overlapping so all the leaves were flush with the panel.
To create the splatter, I sprayed some of the Distress Mica Stains and Distress Mica Spray in Tarnished Brass onto my Tim Holtz Glass Mat. I covered the sentiment with a piece of scrap paper and then used a paintbrush to pick up different colors of the Mica Stains and Spray to splatter onto the card. Once the splatter was dry (I dried it with a heat tool and let it fully dry for a while afterwards), I added the panel to a 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 kraft colored card base. These leaves were so fun to make and I have so many other fun fall ideas for them too!

In a word, stunning! That is coming from someone who is not fond of fall cards (because I'd rather have brilliant colors). You rocked it again, creative one!
