Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for last week for our Sparkle Mode challenge and we hope you will join us again this week as well! This week our challenge is Santa and the design team is using products by Tim Holtz! I used one of my newest favorite Christmas sets, Jolly Santa. To begin, I sprayed a piece of DIstress Watercolor Cardstock with Tattered Rose Distress Spray Stain and dried it with my heat tool. Then I stamped images from the set in my favorite reds and greens using DIstress Oxide and smudged each image a bit after stamping.
I layered over my background panel with the Sparkle stencil using Matte Transparent Texture Paste and Holographic Embossing Powder and heat set it once it was dry. I splattered the panel with Tsukineko Sparkle Spray in Gold, and Distress Paints in Black Soot and Picket Fence.
I stamped and cut the Santa on another piece of Distress Watercolor cardstock, colored him in with Distress Inks and waterbrush and then added him to the card. I also added some Distress Mica Flakes to his hat using Distress Collage Medium. I mounted the panel onto a panel of Metallic gold kraftsock and then mounted the entire thing to a white note card. To finish the card, I added an Idea-ology Christmas Label sticker.
