simon says stamp: out of this world blog hop (day 1)

Hello there crafty friends! I am thrilled to be joining Simon Says Stamp today in a blog hop to celebrate their new Out of This World release. Today I have 2! fun cards made from one panel using the Billow Butterfly Plate Wafer die for two totally different looks. I added some Distress Inks to Distress Watercolor Cardstock by building layers, adding some Distress Ink layers and drying the panel each time and adding more layers. I added some Gilded Foundry Wax splatter and white splatter to the panel then cut it out to leave me with all of those beautiful butterflies and the outline part of the panel. I explain each one in a little more detail below. 

For my first card, I used the butterfiles cut out from the Billow Butterfly Plate Wafer Die and adhered them to the card with foam squares. They have so much color, texture and splatter that they really stand out this way. To keep the card simple, I cut the CZ Design Love You die from Vellum and Matte Gold Cardstocks. This is a super simple and easy way to use up some of those inky experiment panels you may have lying around! 




For the second card, I used the outline of the Billow Butterfly Plate Wafer die that I cut from the same paper and backed it with some black cardstock to make it pop. It was missing something so I used a gold gel pen to outline the inside of the butterfly shapes, adding it on extra thick. To finish the card, I added the CZ Design Here for You die cut from black and matte gold cardstocks.

simon says stamp monday challenge: pick a number

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Pick A Number and I have created a fun mixed media birthday card using the Tim Holtz Numbered Texture Fades. I absolutely LOVE the dimension on this one and it is so fun to color. I ran it through my die cut machine to emboss it and then colored it with Distress Watercolor Pencils and a detailer water brush. Once the panel was dry, I added black and white splatter. 

To finish my card, I added an image from the Winged Things 1 stamps and a sentiment from the Note Quotes set also colored in with Distress Watercolor Pencils.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Masculine and I've used some of my favorite Tim Holtz products including The Inspector. I created the background with Translucent Texture Paste then sprayed it with Distress Spray Stains in Crushed Olive and Uncharted Mariner. I layered some ephemera, stamped and cut out The Inspector, added a quote chip, a small talk sticker and a Star Adornment. I roughed the edges then went over them with Gilded Foundry Wax, and then splattered the entire card with Foundry Wax too. This card would make a perfect card for any graduate on your list!

simon says stamp monday challenge: not a card

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is NOT A CARD...and I have created a trio of ATCs using some of my favorite Tim Holtz products. The design team is using Tim Holtz products for this week's challenge, and we would love if you did too (although it's not mandatory :)).  For these ATCs I stamped them all with the letter stamp from The Inspector. Then I added layers of Distress Paints, some stamping with Distress Archival Inks and lots of splatter. I finished the cards with a butterfly from the Flutter set and added a Thoughts Label Sticker.
