simon says stamp monday challenge: sparkle and shine

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Delicious Drinks challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Sparkle and Shine and I wanted to break into my stash of Simon Says Stamp Color Blend Cardstock. This cardstock is glossy and has the perfect amount of shine. I embossed a panel with the Gradient Dot embossing folder to give it some added texture. Then I added a big bold sentiment from the Concord & 9th Quintessential Scripty Sayings dies using a fine tip bottle to apply my glue to the back of the sentiments before adhering them.

simon says stamp monday challenge: delicious drinks

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Delicious Drinks and I wanted to create a fun card for a friend who loves tea. I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Cafe Colorize, and cut and assembled the tea cup in 3 different colors. For the background, I stamped and embossed the background from the Flurry and Pine Background duo stamp, embossed it with clear embossing powder on Distress Watercolor Cardstock and sprayed it with Distress Spray Stains in Tea Dye and Hickory Smoke. 

I created my own sentiment using the Alphanumeric Theory dies and then added it to the card with the cups stacked way up. As a final touch I handcut the tiny tea bag and added a heart from the Falling Hearts dies to complete it.

simon says stamp monday challenge: use your favorite technique

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Use Your Favorite Technique and I have used one of the very first (and still favorite techniques) that I learned...Distress Ink Blending. I cut a tag from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I blended Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet. I sprayed them with water using a Distress Sprayer, lightly blotted them with a towel and then dried the tag with my heat tool. 

Once my tag was dry, I stamped it with images from the Floral Outline set using Black Soot Archival Distress Ink. Once the ink was dry, I ran the tag through the Dotted 3D Texture Fades to give it even more texture. To finish my tag, I added some stitching and a sentiment from the Noteworthy stamp set.

This week our challenge is Happy Birthday and we are celebrating our 13th!! birthday here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. We are also using products from AALL + Create and would love you to use them to if you own some :) For my project today, I created a festive mixed media tag using the AALL + Create Starry Night Stencil along with some Distress Opaque Texture Paste. I embossed the paste with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze, then I added Distress Spray Stains in Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass. I added some Ephemera Snippets, a Paper Doll and some Mirrored Stars that I colored with Mushroom Alcohol Ink.
