simon says stamp monday challenge: stamp it (STAMPtember®)

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Stamp It. We would like you to use actual clear, cling, wood stamps, no digi images allowed this week.

As you know STAMPtember® is a very special month in the Simon Says Stamp calendar. This week we are all using some fabulous products from the latest Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Release. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

This week I have a nice and simple card for you that I still think is beautiful for fall. I embossed a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock using the brand new STAMPtember® Leaf Tumble Embossing Folder.  Then I ink blended Distress Inks over the surface. I used Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany and Abandoned Coral. I added a few leaves that I cut with the Windswept Leaves dies and then added a Fancy Thanks as a sentiment. I finished my card with a few Trinity Stamps Unicorn Tears Embellishments for a bit of sparkle. 

I did not use stamps on the outside but I was sure to stamp a special greeting on the inside of my card to thank a good friend using the Friend Greetings set and Cayenne ink from Concord & 9th

I love everything about this card - it’s so gorgeous! Can you confirm you ink blended ‘after’ embossing the leaves? It’s such a pretty blend!

Hi Sandy! Yes I ran the folder through the machine then once it was embossed I ink blended. I start off light and build layers to get that effect :) keeping the dark colors on the edges. Hope that helps!
