simon says stamp monday challenge: let it snow

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Let it Snow...and as it's the end of the year and the holiday season this one will last for two weeks! This week I created a card to show how I really feel about snow...well driving in it at least :) I used the Tim Holtz Festive Words and Alphanumeric Script to create my own sentiment for this little scene with the Simon Says Stamp Vintage Christmas Station Wagon. simon says stamp monday challenge: Use Dies In DieCember®

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Use Dies In DieCember® and I have used a die that I have not had a chance to yet. I used the Wonky Tree O dies to create these fun and simple Christmas cards using tissue papers painted with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. Once my papers were dry, I crumpled them up for a bit of texture, then adhered them to cardstock with Distress Collage Medium. When that was dry, I cut them out. I stamped the cards with sentiments from the Holiday Typewriter set, added my trees and topped them all with a gold glitter star from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Christmas Cutouts.

simon says stamp monday challenge: winter blues

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Winter Blues and I have used some blue Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain and Tumbled Glass ink. I cut the bird from the Funky Nordic set and gave it some texture by stamping the Stripes and Holiday Background onto it using Tumbled Glass Ink. I cut the remaining pieces from some Mica Stain Papers I had in my stash and arranged them onto a panel of Distress Black Heavystock. I splattered the card with Gilded Foundry Wax by mixing it with a bit of Isopropyl alcohol and splattering it with a paintbrush. To finish my card, I cut the word hope from the Christmas Cutouts dies using a piece of the paper I had sprayed with the Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain.

I have a fun wintery card for you today using the new Fretwork Snowflake Wafer die. I created the background using the Icy Snowflakes Embossing Folder and dies. To create my background, I used a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, then misted it with water using a Distress Sprayer. I sprayed the panel with Distress Mica Stains in Snow Flurries, Unravelled, and Wonderland then dried it with a heat tool. I added some Glossy Accents and Distress MIca Flakes to add to the snowy texture. I cut the Fretwork Die several times from Champage Glitter Cardstock and Clear Acetate and layered them together. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Graceful Holiday Greetings stamp set.
