simon says stamp monday challenge: feminine

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Feminine. I created a card with pretty feminine leaves using the Simon Says Stamp Lush Leaves Wafer dies. See more details below...

I took a favorite Alcohol Ink background that I created on Yupo Paper. I die cut the Lush Leaves and arranged them on my card with foam squares for dimension.


Once the leaves were placed, I wanted to add some gold splatter to my card. I mixed Gilded Foundry Wax with some alcohol, then splattered it onto my card and heatset it with my embossing tool. 



To finish my card, I die cut the sentiment from the Just a Note 2 Dies and added it on with foam squares and then mounted the entire panel to a card base.

simon says stamp monday challenge: up in the air

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Up In the Air and I have created a fun card for a friend who is "up in the air" about moving to a new job. I created this card by taking an Alcohol Ink background from my stash that I was not totally in love with and adding a bunch of stamping to it with the Tim Holtz Mini Media Marks stamps and Distress Archival Inks. I also added some Glided Foundry Wax splatter. 

To stamp the sentiment from the Motivation 3 set, I stamped it twice. Once all in Black Soot Archival Ink, then again in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide embossed with Picked Raspberry Distress Embossing Glaze. I cut out the heart from the glazed one, and layered it over the black then added it to my card.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Make Your Own Background and I have created a fun background on a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Remnant Rubs, Distress Spray Stains in Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac and Cracked Pistachio. Once I dried these layers, I added some Opaque Texture Paste and Liquid Platinum embossing powder. For the focal point, I added some stamped images from the Abstract Florals set.

Saturday May 18^th -AM CLASS: 11am – 1:30 pm Coffee, Tea & Cocktails Cards

In this class we will create 5 different cards with either coffee, tea or cocktail themed products.  You will play will stamps, stencils and stains and learn some of Cheiron’s favorite techniques for clean and simple cards that feature fun techniques. Almost everything you need will be provided! 

Student required supplies: Liquid Adhesive (like Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, Adhesive Runner, Foam Tape, Detail Scissors. Optional: apron is always a good idea, if you have the Tim Holtz Travel Glass Mat - it's always a great surface to work on.

Birthday Bash Cards 

simon says stamp monday challenge: spring flowers

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Spring Flowers and I have created a mini canvas using the Simon Says Stamp Bold Scandinavian Dies. I used a 4 x 6 canvas, lots of Distress Paint and Distress Watercolor Pencil layers to create my background.

For the flowers, I used painted papers that I had painted with Distress Paint, and doodled on some with a Posca pen and then stamped some with Tim Holtz background stamps. Finally I added some stitching, splatter and scribbles with the Dina Wakley Neon Scribble Sticks over the dried Distress Paint to really make the background pop!

Hello there crafty friends! I wanted to let you know about the classes I have coming up for this spring. I have my VERY FIRST online class coming up that I will be teaching over on my friend Jenn Shurkus' on line class platform. This class is my Distress Mixed Media Hearts Canvas class and I will be teaching this on line and you can create with me in real time on Saturday, April 20th (or watch it anytime after). This will be a full day class where you can join me from your crafty space and create with me in mine and I will show you all my best techniques, tips and tricks for creating a Distress Mixed Media Hearts Canvas of your own to hang in your crafty space. simon says stamp monday challenge: whatever the weather

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Whatever the Weather, and I am definitely missing vacation and longing for the warm weather of summer and being in the ocean! I have created my card by stamping the Simon Says Stamp Waves Cling stamp and embossing it with clear embossing powder onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. After that was done, I added Distress Spray Stain in Tumbled Glass and also added Distress Mica Stains. I splattered my panel with some Black Soot Distress Paint then added the sentiment from the So Swell stamp and die set.
