simon says stamp monday challenge: frame it

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Alcohol challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Frame It and I have used a Lace Baseboard Frame along with images from the new Floral Elements stamps to frame my main image. The main image is a butterfly image stamped from the new Botanic Collage stamps on a background of Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade and Kitsch Flamingo.

The Lace Baseboard frame was colored with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink. I then stamped and watercolored a bunch of leaves from the Floral Elements set with Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio and cut them out and used them to make more of a frame around my project. To finish the card, I added some Hardware Heads that I colored with Mushroom Alcohol Ink to the corners of the frame and a bit of white spatter and an embossed sentiment from the Noteworthy stamps set.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Food/Drink challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) This week our challenge is Art Journaling, something I don't get to spend nearly enough time on! 

I had a few new supplies I wanted to play with including these gorgeous new So Many Butterflies dies that were designed by the amazing Bibi Cameron. I cut a few of them using some gelli prints I had made a while back and new that one would be the perfect focal point for my small Dina Wakley journal. 


I colored my page with the newest paint colors from the Dina Wakley Media line, Sage and Syrup. Then I added Distress Texture Paste through the Layering Heart Mandala Stencil and added some Black Soot Distress Paint splatter. I finished the page with some of the phrases from the new Dina Wakley Typed Media Ledgers.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Welcome to our first challenge of the year...this week we are challenging you to use something NEW and the design team is using products from Carabelle Studio. I have used one of the fun characters from the Little People set combined with some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps to create a bright colored tag for my art journal. 

I used a painted background from my stash, and colored in the character from Little People with Distress Inks. I stamped images over my tag using Black Soot Archival Ink using the Stampers Anonymous Faded Type, Christmastime 2, Field Notes and Mini Media Marks sets. I added some cut out starts from the Sizzix Swirling Stars dies and a ribbon to finish my colorful tag.

Hi there and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us in our Use Green Challenge last week and we hope you will join us this week in the Recycle challenge...this is always a fun one and a great way to think of materials destined for the recycle bin to be turned into art :) This week I finally had a chance to play with all my new Dina Wakley stamps and stencils and follow along with her facebook demo on making a Tab Book. I colored and cut her new Sticky Back Canvas Tape for my tabs. 

I began by putting gesso on different parts of the cardboard and stamped a background in watery paint using images from the Be Bold set. I stamped and colored images from the Ledger Girls set using Scribble Sticks and a wet paintbrush. To create the title for the front of my journal, I used the Block Letters combined with one of the sentiments from Ledger Girls.

Hi there crafty friends! Welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you so much for playing along with us last week in the Anything But A Card challenge and we hope you will join us this week for our Art Journal Challenge. The design team is using products from Dyan Reaveley this week and we hope you will use some too if you have them :) 

This week I created an art journal page in my Dina Wakley Media Journal using Dyan Reaveley Shimmer Sprays in Polished Jade, Black Marble and Lemon Zest as a background. I added layers with the Tim Holtz Plus stencil and some Distress Crackle Texture Paste. When the paste was dry, I added all kinds of new Idea-olgy including a Paper Doll Solos, strips of paper cut from the new Backdrops, a Ticket Book ticket, Mini Marquee Letters, Stitched Scraps 2, Mini Flair and a sticker from the Metallic Sticker Book.

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week's A Day At the Beach Challenge , and we hope you will join us again this week for the Art Journal Challenge. This week our challenge is Art Journal and we are challenging you to create an art journal page, doodle in your journal, make some tags in your journal or anything else that you can think of that goes with the theme...

Today I created a simple art journal page. To begin, I painted some Lucky Clover Distress Paint onto the Screwed stencil, sprayed it with water and printed on the page to create a spot for a focal point. I added some more stenciling with the Digits stencil and Black Soot Paint and the Stars stencil with Fossilized Amber Paint. I added the focal image from Photobooth over a piece of stitched book paper from my stash. I cut circles from the Typeset collage paper and added them. I added a few bits of Ephemera and a Small Talk sticker. Then I used my paint brush and a black Scribble Stick to add splatter to the page. I cut a few tiny hearts from my scrap stash to finish it.

simon says stamp monday challenge: use some lucky stars

This week the theme for the challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is Use Your Lucky Stars. This week, it was all about all of the new Dina Wakley paints and stencils to create my art journal background. I added lots of layers of paint and stencils onto one of Dylusions journal insert sheets in black. To finish off my page I added images from the Scribbly Fashion Figures and Grungy Stars sets. The sentiment was made by mixing some Tim Holtz Big Chat and Small Talk.
