simon says stamp monday challenge: Use Dies In DieCember®

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Use Dies In DieCember® and I have used a die that I have not had a chance to yet. I used the Wonky Tree O dies to create these fun and simple Christmas cards using tissue papers painted with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. Once my papers were dry, I crumpled them up for a bit of texture, then adhered them to cardstock with Distress Collage Medium. When that was dry, I cut them out. I stamped the cards with sentiments from the Holiday Typewriter set, added my trees and topped them all with a gold glitter star from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Christmas Cutouts.

This week we would like you to join us in celebrating our 12th Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 

Can you believe that this challenge has been going for 12 years!! The time has flown by hasn’t it! We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our fellow crafters who have joined us over the years and we hope you will continue to join us!

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from the fabulous Dina Wakley. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

For my card this week, I created a monoprint stenciled background using Dina's Connected Dots stencil and Gloss Sprays over a piece of Typed Media Ledgers.  Once the background was dry, I stenciled over it with the Pieces stencil and some white paint to add more texture. I added a focal image of the girl from the Make Things Happen set and colored her with Scribble Sticks and water. To complete the card, I gave her a hat sprayed with Ancient gloss spray onto a paper bag and added a pom pom and finally finished the card with a sentiment from the Be Bold set.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Food/Drink challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) This week our challenge is Art Journaling, something I don't get to spend nearly enough time on! 

I had a few new supplies I wanted to play with including these gorgeous new So Many Butterflies dies that were designed by the amazing Bibi Cameron. I cut a few of them using some gelli prints I had made a while back and new that one would be the perfect focal point for my small Dina Wakley journal. 


I colored my page with the newest paint colors from the Dina Wakley Media line, Sage and Syrup. Then I added Distress Texture Paste through the Layering Heart Mandala Stencil and added some Black Soot Distress Paint splatter. I finished the page with some of the phrases from the new Dina Wakley Typed Media Ledgers.

Happy Monday crafty friends and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!  Thank you to all who played along with us last week in our Inspired By An Artist Challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) This week our challenge is Mixed Media, so get out those Mixed Media Supplies and be sure to share your creation with us. The design team is featuring products by the fabulous Dina Wakley this week, I have been a long time fan, and love pretty much every product she creates. 

To make my tag this week I used Dina's Collage Collective 2 - Vol 2 to create the base of my tag and cut it out with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Tag collection Framelits die. This paper has the look of Mixed Media using Dina's artwork. I adhered collaged bits from my stash to the tag using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. I stamped and cut images from the Collaged Girls and Be Willing Stamp Sets and adhered them to my card using Dina Wakley Media Gel Medium. To finish the tag I added some splatter using Marine Gloss Spray.

Hi there and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us in our Use Green Challenge last week and we hope you will join us this week in the Recycle challenge...this is always a fun one and a great way to think of materials destined for the recycle bin to be turned into art :) This week I finally had a chance to play with all my new Dina Wakley stamps and stencils and follow along with her facebook demo on making a Tab Book. I colored and cut her new Sticky Back Canvas Tape for my tabs. 

I began by putting gesso on different parts of the cardboard and stamped a background in watery paint using images from the Be Bold set. I stamped and colored images from the Ledger Girls set using Scribble Sticks and a wet paintbrush. To create the title for the front of my journal, I used the Block Letters combined with one of the sentiments from Ledger Girls.

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week's Not A Card challenge. This week we have a brand new challenge and our theme is Movie Inspiration, I hope you will create a project based on one of your favorite movies and enter it in the challenge this week. 

 

For my movie inspiration, I picked Legally Blonde. I thought the stamp of the girl and her dog from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Runway set would make a perfect Elle and Bruiser Woods. To create the background for the tag, I used Gina K Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel mixed with some Spun Sugar Distress Reinker (to color it light pink) and applied it through the DIna Wakley Media Mantras Stencil onto a white tag. Once the gel was dry, I inked the edges of the tag with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and added some Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar splatter, by smooshing my ink pads onto the sheet on my glass mat, adding some water and splattering them. I stamped the image from Runway and colored it with Distress Reinkers and also Distress Paint (for the hair and the dogs fur). When it was dry, I fussy cut it and added it to the tag. I added a sentiment from Tiny Text stamped and embossed onto Hero Arts Azalea card stock. I adhered two Trinity stamps Unicorn Tears gems onto the tag for some extra bling, and added a big pink bow to finish it.

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week's Early Birds Challenge and we hope you will join us again this week for our A Day at the Beach Challenge. 

 

This week I was inspired to make a Tim Holtz Etcetera Tag in Ocean colors using Distress Paint, stamps and stencils. I painted the tag in all of my favorite colors of DIstress Paint, then I used the Stitches and Dotted Stencils to add texture. I stamped on the tag using Archival Distress Inks and the Grunged and Media Marks 1 stamps. I addded some Imagery from the Sealife stamp set and painted it in. To create my sentiment, I used the Tall Text stamps and cut each letter out and inked the edges. I used a Starfish from the DIna Wakley Media Ocean Chipboard pieces to finish it off.

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us us for last week's Take Me for A Ride Challenge, and we hope you will join us again this week for the Play with Paint Challenge. This week the design team is using products from Dina Wakley. 

 

For my project this week, I created a card sprayed and stenciled with the Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays in Lemon, Lime and Turquoise onto Cotton Watercolor Paper, then added flowers from the Good Idea set that were 'painted' in with Scribble Sticks using a wet brush to pick up the scribble sticks and apply it to the image. I also used the back of my paintbrush on the back of the stick to give a little "splatter" to the backgound.

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you for joining us for the Spring Mood Board Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week we are have an All About Texture theme and the design team is using Stamperia products. You don't need to use them to play along, but if you have some, we'd love it if you did. 

For my card this week, I started off by using Dina Wakley Cotton Watercolor Paper for my card base, which has a great textured surface. I sprayed it with Gloss Sprays in Turquoise, Ocean and Olive. 

Once the sprays were dried, I added additional layers of texture by painting Magenta Dina Wakley Media Paint onto the Spaced Dots stencil, spraying it with water and "printing" it onto my surface. When that was dry I applied Cheddar paint through the Tim Holtz Digits stencil using a foam blending tool. 


To finish the card, I used a piece of Collage Collective 2 (Vol 2) as a focal image, and used stamps from the Collaged Hearts set. To give the card tons of shimmer and shine, I used Stamperia Gold Glamour pigment mixed with water and applied drips and splats all over my card to give it lots of interest.

As you may know, the Simon Says Stamp Store is accepting new orders, but have longer shipping times for the moment due to the coronavirus. With this in mind we have made the difficult decision to suspend the $50 voucher for this challenge.

Hi crafty friends, welcome to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Thank you to all of you who played along with us last week in our Frame It Challenge and I hope you will play along with us this week in the Inspired By Music Challenge. This week I was inspired to make this card by the song we carry within us, our inner voice. I used the new DIna Wakley Gloss Sprays to make a fun colorful background, and added a little stenciling over it. I stamped and colored in an image from the Interesting Faces set using Scribble Sticks and a waterbrush.
