simon says stamp monday challenge: lots of layers

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Lots of Layers and I have created a fun card with a background panel using Distress Inks, layered over with Distress Oxide stenciling, some stamping and LOTS of splatter and Distress Spritz to finish. To complete my card, I added a focal image from the Media Marks 2 set and a sentiment from the Abstract Florals set. For a bit more sparkle, I added some Soapy Bubbles sequins.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Red, White and Blue and I am ready to celebrate the 4th of July! Today the design team is using products from AALL & CREATE and I have used the Lotza Dots stencil on my background along with Distress Spritz in Barn Door and Uncharted Mariner. For the focal image, I used a stamp from the Tim Holtz Americana Blueprints, and colored it in with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I cut a bunch of stars from the Starry Night dies from Metallic Kraft Stock.

This week our challenge is food and drink and I’ve created a fun card for a tea loving friend using the Trinity Stamps Teacup Blooms stamps and dies. I colored the image in with Copics then added it to a background of blended Tumbled Glass Distress ink. Finally, I added a few sequins to make it really shine.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Bright and Cheerful and the design team is using products from Paper Artsy. I have created a bright tag in all the colors of the rainbow using Paper Artsy Are You Cerise Infusions Color Stain along with Distress Mica Stains. To make the tag, I applied Distress Opaque Texture Paste through the Bouquet stencil and let it dry. Then I sprayed it with a little water, added some of the Infusions and Distress Mica Stains. I added a Butterfly from the Flutter set and lots of hearts from the Vault Lovebirds set. I finished my tag with black and white splatter and a Thoughts Label Sentiment.

simon says stamp monday challenge: fun with stencils

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is fun with stencils and the design team is using products from Stamperia. I used the Coffee and Chocolate Ephemera set and combined it with some of my favorite Tim Holtz products to create a coffee themed card. I created my background using Distress Spray Stains, and stenciled on the Splatters stencil for that spilled coffee effect, then stamped the coffee from the Freshly Brewed set on the panel and once again on the paper and added coloring with Distress Watercolor Pencils. To finish the card I created a sentiment combining the ephemera and some Small Talk Snarky.

simon says stamp monday challenge: a new start

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

Happy New Year everyone! This week our challenge is A New Start and I have created a fun New Year's Card for you using the Tim Holtz Santa Greetings set. I used the word banner from this set to create a festive New Year's banner, and cut my letters and banner from silver and gold metallic kraft stock. The design team is using products from Brutus Monroe and I used some of the Gilded Shimmer Splash as splatter on the background of my card. To finish my card, I added a ton of tiny stars in metallic and black to make the card pop that I cut from the Falling Stars dies.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Use Dies In DieCember® and I have used a die that I have not had a chance to yet. I used the Wonky Tree O dies to create these fun and simple Christmas cards using tissue papers painted with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. Once my papers were dry, I crumpled them up for a bit of texture, then adhered them to cardstock with Distress Collage Medium. When that was dry, I cut them out. I stamped the cards with sentiments from the Holiday Typewriter set, added my trees and topped them all with a gold glitter star from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Christmas Cutouts.

simon says stamp monday challenge: winter blues

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the  challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) 

This week our challenge is Winter Blues and I have used some blue Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain and Tumbled Glass ink. I cut the bird from the Funky Nordic set and gave it some texture by stamping the Stripes and Holiday Background onto it using Tumbled Glass Ink. I cut the remaining pieces from some Mica Stain Papers I had in my stash and arranged them onto a panel of Distress Black Heavystock. I splattered the card with Gilded Foundry Wax by mixing it with a bit of Isopropyl alcohol and splattering it with a paintbrush. To finish my card, I cut the word hope from the Christmas Cutouts dies using a piece of the paper I had sprayed with the Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain.

I have a fun wintery card for you today using the new Fretwork Snowflake Wafer die. I created the background using the Icy Snowflakes Embossing Folder and dies. To create my background, I used a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, then misted it with water using a Distress Sprayer. I sprayed the panel with Distress Mica Stains in Snow Flurries, Unravelled, and Wonderland then dried it with a heat tool. I added some Glossy Accents and Distress MIca Flakes to add to the snowy texture. I cut the Fretwork Die several times from Champage Glitter Cardstock and Clear Acetate and layered them together. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Graceful Holiday Greetings stamp set.
