simon says stamp monday challenge: 4 legged friends

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :)

This week our challenge is Four Legged Friends and I have created a mixed media tag with a Tim Holtz Paper Doll as the focal point. Don't you just love this little boy with his dog? I used Distress Spray Stains, covered the tag with some opaque crackle paste through the Linked Squares stencil and added some stamping and splatter.

I added some Ephemera Snippets, a Paper doll and a Quote Chip Label to finish the tag.

simon says stamp cheering for you blog hop - day 2

Happy Saturday crafty friends! I am so happy to be joining Simon Says Stamp to celebrate their newest release Cheering for You. I have two cards to share with you today using products from the new the Cheering For You release.

The two cards I created today are two different looks with the new Cheering Wafer die The first card uses the Crimped Blossoms Embossing Folder. I embossed a panel of a panel of Distress Watercolor Cardstock then inked blended over it with inks from the Blue Lagoons Ink Cubes then sanded over it to reveal the white core of the cardstock. Once that was done I splattered some Gilded Foundry Wax over the top. I cut out the coordinating flower and ink blended in the the center and added some more Foundry Wax to the center. Finally, I cut the Cheering die from Gold Metallic Kraftstock and embossed the sentiment from the Cheering stamps in gold.

For the second card, I used one of the A2 Acetate Cards to create a festive card with the Cheering die and a bunch of "confetti" dots punched out from gelli prints I had in my stash. I adhered the dots all over the front, added the die cut sentiment then added some more dots to fill in the space, and also popped some up with foam tape. Super fun and easy card to create!

Today I have 3!! cards for you sharing the same stamp set...the Dreamy Leaves stamps and dies designed by my crafty pal Miriam Prantner. I love the leaves in this set, so fun to color..or not and the sentiments are a fabulous handwritten like font. ALL SUPPLIES ARE LINKED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST :)

The first card I created by stamping the Dreamy Leaves in black and then just coloring in random lines of the leaves with pink markers. I cut the panel on a diagonal and then used it to figure out the placement of my adhered it to my card base.

For my second card, I stamped and embossed the Dreamy Leaves with Simon Says Stamp Gold Embossing Powder. I sprayed the entire panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Spray Stain, then I painted in the leaves using Lucky Clover Distress Spray stain. I dipped a paintbrush in it and applied it straight from the bottle. Just remember to put the cap back on tightly when you are finished :)

To finish my card, I added some Gilded Distress Foundry Wax splatter and some white as well.

For the third card, I stamped just a few leaves and added a sentiment on top. Once the leaves were placed I used a micron pen to draw in a few other details. I added some swatches of color that were offset to each of the leaves.

To finish this card, I added some black splatter by masking off the sentiment. Once my splatter was dry, I added some Trinity Stamps Soapy Bubbles Sequins.

This release has some of my favorite things including some four leaf clovers in the new Lucky You stamps and dies set! This set and super fun sentiments are perfect for St. Patrick's Day or to send a little luck ALL YEAR LONG! The card I have for you today is exactly that...

I used the Lucky You Sentiments stamps and coordinating die to make some fun clovers. I stamped a bunch of them in embossing ink onto some Distress Watercolor cardstock and embossed them using Mowed Lawn Distress Embossing Glaze. Once they were heat embossed, I put the paper into my Splat Box and Sprayed them with a combination of Bubbling Cauldron and Holly Branch Distress Mica Sprays and cut them out.

To create the card, I started with a white notecard, then cut out the Whirl Diamond Plate wafer die (from the Sweetheart release) and built my card on top of that. I cut out the Lucky You wafer die from Simon Says Stamp Matte Gold Cardstock and added it to my card.

I added a bunch of the cut out clovers and then splattered my card with Gilded Foundry Wax and some Black Soot Distress Paint. To complete the card, I added a sentiment that I stamped on black cardstock and embossed in white from the Lucky You Sentiments. I hope you enjoyed this card and maybe you will make some for your friends this St. Patty's Day to let them know how lucky they are :)

I have a fun wintery card for you today using the new Fretwork Snowflake Wafer die. I created the background using the Icy Snowflakes Embossing Folder and dies. To create my background, I used a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, then misted it with water using a Distress Sprayer. I sprayed the panel with Distress Mica Stains in Snow Flurries, Unravelled, and Wonderland then dried it with a heat tool. I added some Glossy Accents and Distress MIca Flakes to add to the snowy texture. I cut the Fretwork Die several times from Champage Glitter Cardstock and Clear Acetate and layered them together. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Graceful Holiday Greetings stamp set.

Now onto the card...today I have created a card using the new Fancy Ornaments Embossing Folder and dies.

I embossed the folder twice using Distress Watercolor Cardstock, then ink blended over one of the panels using Distress Oxide Inks then cut those ornaments out using the dies. I inked the edges of each ornament with Black Soot Distress Ink and a foam blending tool and gently bent them to give them a little dimension. I added a bit of shimmer and Gilded Foundry Wax to each ornament using my finger, and then set it with an embossing gun.

Once the ornaments were dry, I adhered them to my second white embossed panel. To finish my card, I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Graceful Holiday Greetings stamps and dies in white on black cardstock to make the colors pop, and die cut it with the matching dies. simon says stamp monday challenge: text it

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :)

This week our challenge is TEXT IT and we are challenging you to add some words to your project. I have been working on my Halloween cards and created this fun one with the Happy Happy Halloween die from Simon Says Stamp on top of the Halloween Damask background. I used Antique Linen Distress Spray and inked through the first stencil with Black Soot Distress Ink. Then I added the details using Distress Opaque Texture Paste and Spiced Marmalade Distress Embossing Glaze. To really Distress it up I used the Paper Distresser tool on the edges of my panel and inked it with Black Soot DIstress Ink.

Now onto the cards! I have not done a 3 for 1 in a while, so I thought I would share 3 cards with you using the brand new Mod Leaf Cling Stamp...

For my first card, I stamped the Mod Leaf stamp in Versafine Clair Black ink and then colored it in with Copic markers in lots of fun colors. I cut out my colored panel with the Wonky Rectangles die and added a Giving Thanks sentiment strip.

For my second card, I have a 2 in one using the Mod Leaf thanks to Alcohol Lift Ink. I created a panel with Alcohol Inks and yupo, stamped onto the dried panel with Alcohol Lift Ink to remove the ink, then stamped the stamp onto another sheet of yupo to stamp the ink I lifted and get that light impression. I added leaves from the Windswept Leaves dies and the new Birthday Wishes die as the sentiment for both. A super easy way to create 2 cards at once!

For my last card, I stamped and embossed the Mod Leaf stamp and embossed it in white. Then I used some fall-ish colors of Distress Spray Stains and combined it with a CZ Design Swoopy Thank You die.
