Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Use Some Green challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :)
This week our challenge is FEMININE and I thought this lovely young lady from the Paper Dolls Portraits would be the perfect addition to my card. For the backrgound, I used the Sizzix Arched Embossing Folder and ran my Distress Watercolor Cardstock through it. Then I used some of the new Gilded Tim Holtz Foundry Wax and went over the high points of the embossing, then set the wax with my embossing gun. Once the Foundry Wax was set, I spritzed the panel lightly with water using my Distress Sprayer and used my Distress Inks and a Detailer Waterbrush to paint in the sections of the folder so it resembled stained glass.

Hello creative friends! I have another make with the newest Tim Holtz Distress Color, Saltwater Taffy. This one seemed to be a favorite, and was super easy to make, although it would be impossible to recreate in the same exact way. I think my next approach to this technique will involve painting several panels like this at once.
To create this card, I cut a panel of of Distress White Heavystock and painted over it with Saltwater Taffy Distress paint. Then I dried with a heat tool. If you have not used this paint before, you should know that once your dry it with your heat tool, it is permanent and will not re-react with water or other paint colors. Then I added some more layers to the paint. First I added my warm colors (Mustard Seed, Fired Brick) and painted them on loosely with my paint brush in different areas. If there was an area of too much color, I gave it a little spray with water using my Distress Sprayer. Once that layer was dried with my heat tool, then I added a layer of cool colors (Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Seedless Preserves). You can keep building alternating layers until you get a result you like.
Once the panel was completely dry, I cut the Bold Text 1 Make a WIsh sentiment out and then put the letters back in and placed some tape across the back to hold them in. For me, this was the easiest way to add the white letters. I cut the Bold Text 1 sentiment out of white cardstock, and simply adhered them to the outline I had already cut. That's it, super fun to create and simple!
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Use At Least One Stencil challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :)
This week our challenge is Add Some Green, and the design team is using products from AALL & Create. I have created a fun collaged square card using the AALL & Create Lotza Crossez stencil on my background and a ton of brand new Tim Holtz Idea-ology on a background of green. I started by spraying Distress Spray Stains in Cracked Pistachio, Lucky Clover and Mowed Lawn for a vibrant green background. Once the panel was dry, I went over it with white ink and the AALL & Create Lotza Crossez stencil.

Hi there creative friends! I am thrilled to be joining Reverse Confetti for the month of March and April as a 'Fetti Friend. Today I am thrilled to give you a sneak peek at some of the brand new stamps and dies that will be available on March 8th!
Today we are featuring:
Friendly Florals
To create this card was simple, I blended Distress Inks in Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon onto a piece of Distress watercolor cardstock and then added some gold and blue splatter. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the thank you for being a friend sentiment and embossed it in gold. I also stamped and embossed several flowers from this set in gold and colored them in loosely with Saltwater Taffy and Mowed Lawn Distress reinkers and a detailer waterbrush and added them to the card with foam tape to frame the sentiment.
I can't wait to hop around and see what everyone else has designed. Leave a comment by noon central on March 7th for a chance to win a $15 Reverse Confetti Gift Certificate. There will be a $15 Gift Certificate for one blog commenter and also one FB commenter. Make sure you pop over to the Reverse Confetti Blog for all the details!

To finish the card, I added some bold black accents including a sentiment from the Bold Sayings stamp set and some palm trees cut from the (sadly retired) Tim Holtz Tropical set, but you could combine any leaves and branches you have for a similar look!

Hi there creative friends! I have one of my favorite trios of cards using the newest Tim Holtz Distress color, Saltwater Taffy. These cards are so easy to put together, and as you can see, can be done with so many combinations to suit any occasion. I stamped one of the Brushstrokes, embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze and embossed it, and then repeated it with 2 coordinating colors. I stamped a butterfly from the Flutter stamp set, fussy cut and adhered it to the card with foam tape. Then I added a bit of splatter with Black Soot Distress Paint and a paint brush and an Idea-ology Sentiments Label Sticker. Let's take a look at each combo below. All supplies linked at the end of this post :)
I hope you enjoyed these cards, they were super easy and fun to put together and the color combos are almost endless!

Hi there creative friends! Sharing the first of several makes today using the newest color in the Distress line, Saltwater Taffy. I created so many cards with this new color, I will have a new one to share with you every day for the next week, so be sure to check back. This one was super easy to create. To begin, I cut a card panel and the Sizzix Simple Plaid die from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I used the smooth side as the top for both pieces. I adhered them together using Distress Collage Medium. Once the pieces were adhered and dry, I ink blended over them using Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide.
To create the flowers, I stamped the flowers from the Flower Garden stamp set in Broken China Distress Oxide then quickly smudged the flowers with a foam ink blending tool. I took a detailer water brush and extended the color in some places. I stamped each flower twice and layered them with foam tape. For the leaves, I cut a few leaves from the Funky Florals 1 dies in similar colors of blue. To create the chunky gold splatter, I sprayed on some Distress Resist Spray (inside a splat box - and no where else...this stuff is super sticky) then added gold embossing power on top and once it was dry, I embossed the powder for the chunky look you see here.
To finish the card, I added the flowers with foam tape and a simple sentiment from the Idea-ology Quotations Metallic Stickers.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for playing along with us last week in the Art Journal challenge and we hope you will join us again this week too :) This week we are challenging you to USE ONE STENCIL...and I have used one of my favorite stencils, the Floral layering stencil from Tim Holtz.
To start my tag, I added a piece of Typeset collage paper, then gessoed over the tag. I used texture paste through my stencil and when it was dry, I put the cleaned stencil back over the paste and painted on the flowers and leaves using Saltwater Taffy and Rustic Wilderness Distress paints. I love this combo over my gessoed and distressed background.
